with a little post work it comes out great! check it out. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=45211&Start=1&Artist=Taura%20Noxx&ByArtist=Yes but then some people dont do post work so I can see why you would be wary about it. Maybe a few morphs for that top bit might work to make it more spikey or smoother. hmmmm might try that out myself one of these days. But all in all, I think its great.
If Daz is going to be serious about selling their hair, they really need to consider contacting Kozaburo or Catharina about doing the texture maps for them. None of the in-house textures have come close to what either of these two artists do. I do buy Daz hair, but their textures always require a great deal more post work than others. You have two talented, highly respected artists who have proven their abilities over and over again. Daz is crazy not to see if they are willing to lend their services... for a price, of course. ;-) Oh, well...
Thanks shadowcat! I have a Vickie item that should be up at DAZ next week, after that I'm going to do a Supermodel Vickie set, after that plans are hair. Maybe a short do that would be suitable for Michael (and the Dork) as well as the ladies, as well as some longer hair. I've got some new ideas for my hair "system". Hollywood hair has been very good for me! One thing I like to see in hair is a part on the side, not in the middle, so the sides aren't mirror images. This just about doubles the work, at least the way I do it, but I like the way it looks.
I still think that it looks ugly and that Burton (hollywood hair) does better work, If he made more I'd buy those.<<< Shadowcat, agreed. I have yet seen a render of the Daz Updo hair that I could show a client without blushing. >>>I think msot people don't realize that straight hair thats not tied-up, curled, or otherwise styled is extremely easy to make.<<< Understood, MallenLane. However, Anton's latest release truly puts the Daz Updo to shame. There is simply no comparison. And I would not call what Anton has done with his latest release to be easy. Daz does a lot of things very, very well. Hair, IMHO, does not appear to be one of them. The geometries seem good. The transmaps... need help.

Has anyone gotten the "Updo" hair style on DAZ? If so, what do you think of it? It looked a little "weird" from the images -- that double ghosting effect. Hmmm.... maybe Kozaburo, aka Hair God, needs to fix this one too. =) Hehe... maybe they should just run all new hair by him for approval and or fixes. =)
