Hi Rad! So, from your comment I take it that people living in Vancouver live in Igloos then?!? I like Canadians. They're good fodder for South Park........ ;-)

Hi Mike.
I'm Marlene.I think we 'met' here briefly, once before. I'm in Merrick,Long Island...about 40 minutes from Manhattan. It's about as suburban as you can get...Think 'The Wonder Years',(if you know that old tv show) and you get a pretty close idea.
The only thing we have that probably rivals people in population,is squirrels...at least in my yard...and attic...sigh... :^/
LOL at you and Richard. You two seem rather 'cosy',lol. ;^)
Bruce,where are you in NYS?
Andreas...You live next to Ulf?Ulf and I go way back!I didn't know!Tell him I say,hej!
And Rad...shhhhh...let's not start that again, lol. (badum badum) ;^)
Two people in every one is a schizophrenic.

Hahaha, I still remember you too. You are just no longer such a rabble rouser, heheh. ;^P Boca Raton, FL USA -- right in the path of Ernesto. Please excuse me, I need to go put some hurricane shutters up after I get outta work... ...and oh, a place I'd love to be -- how about in Hawaii with Dave and Errol and some of our other photo friends there. :)

LOL! I'm sorry, I can't help but laugh and think of that Family Guy episode where Stewie is doing that techno drumbeat and Brian's cousin and boyfriend start dancing... ;oP [EDIT] Yes Andreas, at the restaurant during dinner, when Stewie breaks into that cool beatbox techno thingy. If I ever want to make myself smile, I just do it myself, hahah.

I'm Rich - well my name is anyway. From UK - live in Stratford Upon Avon (England) with more japanese tourists than you can shake a stick at and at uni in St Andrews (Scotland) with more American blondes (left over from the prince william chase) than you can shake a stick at.
I'll continue the trend of saying preference of living place and i would have to say somewhere warm and spanish speaking - central america maybe... that or zacko's holiday snaps ;)

How cool and interesting. The lovely 'home' of Shakespeare.I'll bet you get your share of tourists,Rich. And how ironic that this thread is called,"Wherefore art thou?'...
Edit:Oops. It's not. It's 'Where art thou?'.Duh! ( Which makes more sense, because 'wherefore art thou' means ,'why are you' which would be a whole different thread,I think, lol. )
Nevermind.

Marlene - 3.5 million each year come through this town of about 30-40k inhabitants  and it is a local secret that they are showing the wrong house as being his wife's (Ann Hathaway) yet still they flock to it

Um... what was the question??? OH YEAH!! Hi Mike... I "met" you in my Jerry Uelsmann thread! I live in central Minnesota (pronounced Minnie SOH-tah with a FAR-GOH accent...lol) and work in one of the many suburbs of Minneapolis. I felt so lonely as the only Minnesota until I met Denger, and Tizzjezzme (sp) and Digimon! So, lookout... we come in hoards and sometimes do funky dances in restaurants... lmao... We brag about surviving 40 below wind chills, the ten thousand lakes, Mall of America, a Giant twine ball - and ...oh yeah... mosquitoes that carry off your young. Cheers! Jodie
I kid-proofed my house but they STILL get in!!
I am a gentlemanly southern boy. That means the South in USA. The state of Tennessee, not a hillbilly but close to that. We are fine folks. We do have teeth, wear shoes and do not do moonshine. How 'bout y'all? Actually, born on a table where my mom had to stop to have me emerge..then to Tennessee. Our family is not inbred. We chose the best ladies and the best men from other families.. TomDart.
Actually, raised in a secretavive science city..not like the surroundings at all. Don't live there now.
Tom..I came close to moving to TN at one time...before I took the job at the casino i work at now..I was looking at work in the Pidgeon Forge/Gattlinburg area..
one of my best friends lives in Nashville..Wonderful state..
Jodie..your cracking me up...
been to that state a few times in the early 90's while touring..Infact I broke down leaving the twin Cities...broken tie rod...I spent 8 hours just over the wisconsin border waiting for the rental company to come get me..
very pretty counrty...
But here in upstate NY...we get quite cold and plenty of snow too..So I feel your pain on that...
Marlene, I'm about halfway betwen Syracuse and Utica...the middle of nowhere...if it wasn't for the casino I work at...there wouldn't be much around here..Including me !!

Jodie, big Hi! My better half is originally from Minnesota - she mentions a burg called Pine City sometimes, among other places. Anyways, she used to be a wench at the fencing booth up at the Ren fair - now she's a ticket wench at the Colorado one. Oh, and yeah, she does think that I don't know what a winter is....
Tom, my old cobber....... I know about you..... though the secret society comes as a suprise - a story for some future time? Good.

LOL@richard. Oh yessss... I did sip my "Minnie soda" yesterday. But then my cousin dumped my drink (wine) down the drain and mixed up something with Absolute Vodka (grapefruit flavour!). Ummmm.... no thanks. I agree about this being a great thread. It is really nice to get a glimpse of where everyone is from. My only question is.... WHO IS DANDY??

Hey guys!
Ok, the older folks here will know I used to hang around quite a bit, then disappear, then reappear as if I was just here yesterday. (Ringing bells now, TP? lol) They'll also know I used to reside in England - but now I'm sitting at the foot of the Rockies in Colorado.... and yes, it was a long walk 'n' swim!
Anyways, there's new names a'plenty here since last time I was around, so does anyone else think it's a good time for a quick recap and re-introduction for everyone, make sure we all know each other?!? I love knowing where everyone is from without having to trawl through profiles and my memory is shi....erm, pretty bad, so a single place of reference is cool.
Yeah? No? I get upset when people don't agree with me, mind........ lip starts to quiver
