Subject: Adding Morphs to Poser Clothes Dress skirt etc

Is it possible to add your own morphs to Poser Clothes?

If so, is their any course or direction I can reference on the internet.

Speaking of clothes, how would one get started making their own clothes

for V3 and M3  Is there an online course available? or manual/programs I could buy?

The only way I know how to add morphs to clothing is to use "The Tailor". It's a program that works outside of Poser.  You import the figure the clothing belongs to, apply the clothing item, then pick the morphs from the figure's body that you want to add to the clothing, then save the clothing item as a figure in your runtime library.  Then you go into poser, apply that newly saved item, then turn the dials for the corresponding morphs that you added.

Personally, I find Wardrobe Wizard much better at fitting clothing to a figure.  It doesn't add morphs, but it takes away the guesswork and the tedious task of having to add morphs and turn dials in order to only get limited success.

what about adding action morphs like wind effect and skirt up down etc

An alternative is to use dynamic clothing.  Then you could use Object | Create Wind Force
to blow the clothes around.

Oh?!   Is there a tutorial on how to do that? I've never done stuff like that in the cloth room before.  I'd like to try though :)

OK thanks, only problem with that is the interaction between two models....let's say you want

two girls to wrestle in dresses that ride up when they roll around, or a man and woman dancing and doing the tango or lambada.  etc

You can also use magnets on the clothes.

Often a combination of several techniques works best.

The Tailor is designed to create morphs in clothes that match morphs in the figure, which it does fast and fairly well, depending on the cloth mesh.

Dynamic cloth works very well for creating dynamic effects, like skirts swirling in a lambada or so. By the way, dynamics can be turned into morphs - just calculate the dynamics and then choose Object->Spawn Morph Target.

Magnets are very useful for tweaking and twiddling the mesh, they're less useful for larger displacements. Magnets can also be turned into morphs using Object->Spawn Morph Target.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
