This one was taken with my first "real" digital cam..a little point and shoot...for eBay...several years ago.

If I stil had the amber I would love to try a shot now...

Thanks guys...yeah, maybe I should have clicked the nudity tag. ;'P That is some lovely amber Tom...I can't help but wonder how some macros of it might look, esp. lit from behind.

Hey Kai, nice to see you join this thread! I like all 4 shots, but the last to are my faves. That out of focus drop is a perfect abstract, and those vines are just so delicate and lovely. I hope that cut of yours is all healed up by now...and yeay, the architecture of that building didn't wow me either, hahahah. We, you showed yourself, so here is one of me from today. In infrared of course. ;'P

thought i might add something a little different - after seeing the mirror shot Kai posted up i thought i would go find this one i took of myself in one of those wonky mirrors - but it seems that all the shots i took on that day out arent anywhere to be found in my filing system :scared: i hate it when that happens - hopefully i'll find them on my laptop or something.

Anyway - this is a collage i did ages ago of a shot i took aages ago and never posted, although outright the original shot was gallery worthy imo.  I never got round to making the collage without using repeat images, so i guess you'll have to put up with that bird in the sky shot repeating over and over :tt2:

Loving those drop shots mrmadmikie!

To the gallery, lady!   This is such a fun thread and full of so-so and extremely fine photos...I have to work on a better than so-so one..hummm..

inshaala ( ) posted Mon, 19 March 2007 at 7:12 PM

oh, and as this is an "anything" thread i thought i might stick this little explanation of Hell here as a response to Andreas' signature:

Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic
(absorbs heat)?

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time.
So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving.

I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave.
Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today.
Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.

Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion,
we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

**This gives two possibilities:
**

  1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

  2. Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Ms. Teresa Banyan during my freshman year,

"...that it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you."

And take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her,
then, #2 cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze.

In every stone sleeps a crystal.

Man is the dream of the Dolphin"
