Just enjoying the Vue. :0)

At $9.99 for the whole Miki 2.0 package (because of my passport savings) I'll chance her just to see what's she made of.

Your EF info should also be at CP also. If you look under "search" on the front page of CP you'll see "View my Stuff" Click on that and that should take you to your order history which will have your serial numbers for all your recent purchases from EF. If not then you need to contact CP.

Unfortunately, many people purchased Miki from ef when they were using Digital River, so their order history won't show it.  If you purchased Miki prior to December 20, 2005, you likely will need to contact support to get a coupon.  We thank you for your patience.

Over a 104,000 polys, she's a heavy weight for sure.  I never got the original Miki, because the elbows blew my interest to dust.

ARE THE ELBOWS FIXED?  That is #1 question to me.  Since she's a new mesh, probably....but given the road-test of the last version was unusable, I'll wait until I hear some favorable comments from folks I respect the opinion of.

nod
Yes, sir.  She is remarkably better in bending and posing than her earlier version!  I think people are going to fall in love with her!

Also, to address some of the questions I have seen in random places...Miki 2.0 is NOT Generation 2 female compatible.  Since she is a petite little girl compared to them, it was not possible for them to share clothing and is a stand alone figure.

I fall into this category. Do I just raise a ticket at CP, and if so what proof of purchase do I need ? I ask this because eFrontier's website is (from my experience) difficult to navigate and almost impossible to find account information.

Thanks. Yes, I got her when she came out over at Digital River.

Also DigitalRiver :(

Do you know what Miki 1 content can be used on Miki 2?

LaVonne ( ) posted Wed, 21 March 2007 at 5:15 PM

Luckily I save e-mails FOREVER and I still had the e-mail from Digital River with the serial # in it!

YAY!

I am VERY excited! I thought Miki was SO CUTE, I am sure 2.0 is going to be AWESOME!

Two more hours until I can play with her. : (

pjz99 ( ) posted Wed, 21 March 2007 at 5:19 PM

And ... she also looks suspiciously like Sydney (as Jessi 2 did).

My Freebies

efstarlet ( ) posted Wed, 21 March 2007 at 5:43 PM

Miki 2.0 is VERY different than Sydney.  Most side by side renders will show that, and she is not G2 compatible since she is a petite cutie.

Miki 1.0 customers without serials should open a support ticket w/ CP or EF w/ as much order info as they have available and we will send you a coupon code and link just as soon as we can.  I just tried to answer a bunch of them and will keep my eye in there, but please be patient, and remember our normal CS staff only works business hours PST.

Most Miki 1.0 content will not work, as her UV's were recut.  Some conforming hair may or may not work and same with dynamic clothing.  Prop hair should work.  Conforming clothing will not, as she has been rerigged.

I just looked at the templates...YES! The pubic region is not seperate from the body texture. I like that! :)

AGH! I wish I had Poser at work....I would play with her now! 😉

leather-guy ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:06 AM

Oooops!  I guess I jumped the gun - I found it on the site early today and got the Miki2 Complete package.  Didn't know about a special deal for existing Miki owners (I bought Miki 1 back on  09-14-2005 ), so I paid for it.
sigh  Oh well, it was only $9.99 with my free passport membership.  Not a bad deal overall.  Not as good as free, but a pretty good price.

tebop ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:22 AM

I bought her, i mean it was free cause i got miki 1 just 2 days ago. All my v3 poses and animation poses work flawless. unlike miki 1 where it wasn't as accurate. If not flawless, i have to say they are super accurate. I'm not having to do any twiking, and they are posing just as intended for v3. wish i could also use some clothes from v3

LaVonne ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:25 AM

Leather guy...e-mail CP your serial number for Miki 1.0 and I am sure they might refund your money!

I am liking her alot. I don't think she looks like Sydney! I think she's gorgeous and has ALOT of potential! But, hey, that's just my opinion! :)

tebop ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:30 AM

ok, there's something really stupid. The business skirt they give you doesn't conform to the figure other than in standard standing pose. If you pose the miki2 , the skirt just moves to an angle but keeps totally straight it doesn't wrap around the body. That really sucks

tebop ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:32 AM

file_372543.png

look, why they do this. it's not the age of old posette where nothing would conform.. It's 2007 we have these new figures, why they give us an unconforming skirt

-Timberwolf- ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:34 AM · edited Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:35 AM

Since the G2 series I don't care about Vicktoria anymore, hmmm. Why? Miki2 will make it even worse. ;) Congrats EF .

lam2 ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 1:55 AM

Out of the box, her shoulder and collar bone structure looks most realistic than any other model to me.  Even better than v4 to my eyes. Only other figure that have such a natural look is probably Anton's Apollo.
The body proportion looks quite natural to me also. The roundness and all that.
I like her better than the previous version. She's good.

leather-guy ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 3:27 AM

tebop; "look, why they do this. it's not the age of old posette where nothing would conform.. It's 2007 we have these new figures, why they give us an unconforming skirt"

Hmmmm - Well, the clothes in the Miki2ClothingPack are all in the props folder, not in the character folder.  My guess would be they're Dynamic clothing, that's why they're not conforming.
Have you tried them in the cloth room?

tebop ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 3:49 AM

I did try it but it failed with an error. Let me try again

What skirt does Tebop :o)......Select the hip and you'll see the movement morphs/handles or select the hip and run it through the cloth room like this one.........Steve

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 5:01 AM

Miki 1 had some conforming clothing in the Prop library. Check the Props/Miki2020 folder. They have the standard .pp2 extension, but they look like standard figures within the file. Skirts, for all figures, often have odd rigging that doesn't conform automatically--body handles for instance.

vince3 ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 8:23 AM

well i like her so Many thanks EF!! the default skin is way better, you fixed that crease that was on her breast-line, she is way bendy now, and she is definately cute!!!!!! i'm a miki1 fan anyway, and have made a few characters with her and probally still will, but it is nice to have the newer version aswell and all the free stuff you gave aswell, so thanky thanky, and happy birthday!!

I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tebop ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 8:43 AM

Oh great. I didn't know it had morphs etc. When i select the body of the skirt there were no morphs

linkdink ( ) posted Fri, 23 March 2007 at 12:05 AM

LaVonne, nice work! Folks should click to see the full-size image of her Miki 2 portrait on the first page of this thread. That's a pretty model.
