How do you delete files that you've downloaded and that don't work in DAZ from your hard drive?

Also, how do you organize the files to be in the right place in the content tab? Mine are all over the place, like the textures and props are in the same categories and everything is mixed up and hard to find. Thanks :)

Open the zip in something that will let you see what it contains (most archive applications will do that) and use that as a guide to deleting files.

Are you sure you have textures and props in the same place - there should be .png image files with many items, which are the tumbnails you see in the Content palette (items which don't have .pngs may have .rsr files instead, which do the same job but are a special, hard to edit, format).

Hey Foxy, you can use PDO3DExplorer (even the free version) to find the link structure for your content folders. After click in a proper, character or other thing it will show you the location for the files linked to it.

Thanks, I'll give those ideas a try! But when you delete a folder and it goes to the recycle bin, that doesn't mean it's really gone from the hard drive from what I've read...is there any way to ensure that it's gone? I don't want these files bogging my comp down! Thanks again. :)

Empty the Recycle bin, or open the recycle bin and hit delete to really zap the file, or hold down shift when you delete the file in the first place. However, the recylce bin does toss out old files to make room for new once it reaches its capacity.

Yes. The data is still on the drive, but the space will be used for something else if required.
