Like the subject says, any hints on what I need to do to get this to conform more like it should? Do I need to group it differently, or just fiddle with the joint parameters some more.  Any tutorial out there on making conforming clothing? Sorry if the image is too small the big one was too big to upload.

You could try using The Tailor, which is found at Daz and adding some of the figure's morphs to the outfit, that might help.

You might also try magnets.

And if you have Wardrobe Wizard by PhilC you should be able to get it to fit the figure without much of a problem.

I can see the image now. Odd.

Anyway, I would use magnets to fix this. Here is 3dWizard's tutorial on using magnets:

The best tutorial I ever found for mags was by Traveler, but it was hosted on bbay and doesn't seem to be there anymore...

Thanks for the suggestions, but this is my 1st attempt at modeling "clothes" for Poser if you can call it that. I ran it through the set-up room in P7 and it works pretty well so far, but I wanted to try and get it to pose with the character better.

If you want it to pose better as you say, you were right. You will have to fiddle with Jps until they are to your liking.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Attached Link: How to make matching JCM morphs in your clothing, a Tutorial

What figure is that? If she has JCMs (Joint Controlled Morphs) as V3 and V4 do, maybe others, you will need to replicate them in the clothing; this would affect V3's collar bends for example. I'm at work so I daren't dwell on the picture too long. JCMs are a pain. I've linked to a tutorial at PoserPros if you need one.

Yep, I agree with BOTH Nickedsheild and englisbob, you'll robably need a combination of adjusting JPs and the addition of a few JCMs to get very tight conforming type clothing to work without poke thru.

best way to approach this is to note the locations that need to be fine tuned, and exactly which movement or combination of movements cause the problem. Then use the Joint Control panel to see if a tweak to the JPs can help. Remember to double check the movemnt after making any JP changes, since you can make it better for one bend and worse for another!

If that doesn;t work you'll have to create morph moving the clothing into the desired position then turn it into a JCM ( if you want it to operate automatically, nothing wrong with leaving it as a manual morph if you don;t mind twisting the dials to suit.). The tut englishbob refers to is very good.

Thanks English Bob and trav, the figure is Sydney from P7. I loaded one of the other clothing models that came with P7 to look at the joint settings, and got it a lot closer, I tried some sitting and laying poses on it, and they worked a lot better, there were still a couple of spots I want to get better.  I`ll go look at the tutorial a little later when I have some more time.
