Could you post a screenshot so we could see?
And have you try to increase your AA settings? Sometimes it helps.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
In the preview image of poser 7, without even rendering, the hair looks excellent. what gives?

Have you try User settings? Try AA min 10, max 30, and AA quality 100%.
Does it do the same with other hair?
It seams to have to do with transparency. Take a look at your trans setting too.
transmap looks to be okay in the vue material editor. Trying that AA setting now. Noticed texture AA too. what's that for? I might try it nex. Love esther

Oh, just tried a big render using boradcast in user mode, so I could up the AA settings to the ones suggested by vincebagna but with texture AA on, however it still looks bad. What does the texture filtering and recompute subrays thingy do? Love esther

Are you using some sort of blur settings on the camera? If so, this could be causing the problem because the transmapped hair strands are getting mixed into the blur. If you want to create a blurred background you can do one of two things:
1. Render the image without any blur and then use the depth map to create the blur in Post
yes, i did have dof - now it doesn't but i also adjusted the texture filtering and recompute subrays thingy and the problem with the hair tips is gone love esther ps if it comes backwhen i render with dof then i will try your suggestions

Yep, I think dof was the main culprit. Love esther

Just solved my problem THANKS.
I'm currently trying out Vue6 Esprit and my sticking point was the horrible treatment of eyelashes and hair in final render. Thanks for the tip and hopefully the quick render I'm about to run on hair and lashes will lead to me buying this program...........like I really need another ;o)

Has anyone else got this hair? How do you make it look better? I tried changing the highlight colour from black to whitish but this didn't help. Love esther
