So is this pic as boring as I think it is? You can be honest, lol.

A lighthouse would have made the shot.... I don't know, I like the pic but it always seemed off to me. Like it was missing something. I guess it was a lighthouse, lol.
Thanx for the opinions... :^)

Marlene, as much as I truly appreciate and enjou awjay's textures(fine work), I sometimes like to simply relax with a nice view. Your image is that...a very nice view and unusual for what I normally see. I like it. Nothing boring there from my point of view.
Editorial for the day:
Now, an odd ball bit of text but this is "post anything". There is a product called webkinzs and people here are clamoring for it. What is this? Besides a super smart marketing idea, this product and acceptance prove one thing to me: I am so grateful that Renderosity is here and creativity is still alive with imagination and thought!
Webkinzs is simply a basic stuffed animal toy. Why the scurry to buy it? There is a web
site for kids to visit and play with their stuffed animal while playing on the website!
Tells me, someone realized the lack of imagination of kids fed web and games and x-boxes etc. who must be fed precreated scenes and precreated imagination to keep going and find a reason not to play in the yard and in the neighborhood...outside seems off limits to many kids today and they get more blubber on them each day and loose the joy of imagination created inside each mind.
So, this stuffed animal comes with nothing...nothing but a play website and that is totally enough to make folks get in the vans aqnd SUVs and head to the store! Thank goodness for creativity alive and I can see the real stuff each day here on this website. Thanks very much for that!

That place reminds me of the Blair Witch...lol. Cool shots, Kortaloo.
What a view on that shot, Jay. I got dizzy just looking at it. I like the way the land looks so hazy in the distance.
Thanks Tom and BJ, and if I had a lighthouse I would do that, Kort. But since I don't, I'd have to use stock, which means.... the 2D gallery. But don't worry, I'll upload something to the photomanip category soon enough. ;^)

Love that glass-like reflection on the lake. I find it serene and very beautiful, Kort...:^ )

This is two Osprey chick in their huge nest. The nest is about 80 feet above the ground with a perfect view of the nearby lake and inlet. Sky was bright and normal exposure was 1/1200 sec at f/5.6. This would leave the nest as a total silhoutte! I moved the shutter to 1/320 sec for the shots shown.
The tower and nest are about 1/4th of the viewfinder look. Even 420mm will not do it at such distance. Still, I am pleased with the results considering conditions. Next time, I plan to use a remote shutter release to avoid any shake. Enjoy! I sure did, just seeing the birds in action.
TomDart.
After leaving the chick with a fresh fish, 5 minutes passed and the bird came again from the lake with fish in hand. This time, she circled the nest from quite high above as the chicks peeped loudly. The osprey then flew directly over us into a dead tree in woods behind. Perhaps this bird was eating its own dinner, an almost impossible task if in the nest.
There is the osprey event. We really enjoyed watching these magnificient and beautiful birds. This was the third visit to the sight today and it finally paid off, even if still quite far away. TomD'Art.
Wow! some wonderful shots! I really like the unfinished quality of Marlene's headland, perhaps it appeals to the wordsmith in me. There are so many great shots since I logged on last. I do love the surrounds of the missing house Kort. The clouds are stunning! The shot of the cliff is terriffic Jay as is the beach, but I think we can all agree that there is a new Maestro, did you SEE that stick?LOL! Sorry I had to.
Way to stick it to us Tom. Sublime does not come close to describing that wooden treasure.

Thanks Miss Marlene, if you don't mind I will. Jay this one is easy, I write in them all the time! I never noticed the unusual beauty before though. I love you perspective of the world. Oh, I posted and got thrown to the top of a new page and there was this wonderful window! Lovely view
