Subject: Anyone have any suggestions on how to build a helmet in Carrara?

Okay. I just bought Carrara 6 Pro. I've been working in Raydream Studio for years (I know it's old but it works). Carrara seems to be very similar to the old RayDream Studio with a lot of extras. That being said, I'm just looking for any suggestions/ideas from anyone on the way they might go about creating this helmet that I've attached; since creating organic shapes is not my strong point. Vertex? Booleans? (not extremely familiar with Booleans). Meta? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would start with a sphere in the Vertex room and remove/manipulate facets. Add thickness.
Keep away from booleans.

Just, for a start, follow along those lines thinking of it as a learning process. And try out the soft sellection at times to note the different effects it creates.

Push/pull/stretch etc. Play with it like putty!
