I'm sorry to hear about your son :( I will keep all of you in my thoughts.

Man, I am sorry to hear this. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts.

i'm so very sorry to hear this. family is the most important thing in the world, and it's always such a terrible and deep blow to suffer through one's children. i know you have the strength, courage, wisdom and most importantly, enthusiasm and laughter to see yourself and your family through this. but i still wish with all my heart that you didn't have to.
Life throws us all things to trip over, and obstacles to overcome. Advice from a friend who has a child with Muscular Dystrophy: Take care of yourself as well! A parent goes into RED ALERT status when the child is in danger, but on prolonged problems like what you and your family are undergoing--you CAN wreck yourself by doing to much.
My friend Marisa was very emphatic about this point--Keep yourself upbeat, optimistic, and above all HEALTHY and that extra energy will pass itself on to your son. Don't worry (If at all possible) and take naps when tired and eat well as you can and that will help your family more than you might think.
Oftimes facing the challenges of prolonged disease, ATTITUDE is at least 90% of the battle. Stay upbeat and keep a heart full of love and your son will appreciate it
All we can do is give our 2p worth of advice (Which might not be worth half that!) and pray where possible. It's YOU who have the boots on the ground there--NOT us. Just don't forget to include yourself into the equation of helping your son. Things will work out, if you put your mind to it. You're a pretty innovative and intelligent person...you can figure the rest out. ^__^V,,
I'll be thinking of you..

I'm very sorry to hear your son has such a battle to fight and I wish him and yourself as smooth a time as possible. It can't be easy and it has to be very wearing on yourself, so don't worry about hobby things. You have enough on your plate and no one will think any less of you. :)
Best wishes.

Very sorry to hear of your son's illness, God will watch over the innocent children, and you as well. Take care.
Sounds like you have everything in place to help him be the best he can possibly be. I met an 89 year old lady with CP. Her speech was hard to understand but she was happy and had a great sense of huymour and was very quick witted. Your boy will thrive with all that extra attention from everyone. love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Patorak - Take good care of yourself as well.
My second cousin had CP from birth due to a difficult labour. His parents patiently saw him through years of rehab physio therapy, including some very sophisticated medical techniques. He is now an adult and able to work in the administrative office of a local parish. He can conduct a conversation, can travel on airplanes long-distance, walks unaided ( he was moving very poorly when a young child). He has a life, simple and gentle and effective as it is for him, but he has his own life and identity. I see him once a year at the annual family reunion.
Meanwhile, once your schedule is sorted and settled into some kind of routine, I hope you will treat art as a spa-type activity for yourself. Might be good for you.

Hello Everyone
My youngest son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Last thursday the orthopedic doctor fitted him for his braces. Starting next week the physical therapist is going to come to my house 3 times a week for his therapy. I still have to take him to the neurologist. My pediatrician is going to set my son's status to triage so the neurologist will see him sooner than a regular appointment.
Given these circumstances, all collaborations, projects, and requests are going to take longer than expected. I'm sorry projects have run passed their scheduled deadline. They will be completed, though.
I apologize for the inconvience and ask everyone involved for their understanding.
Thank you
Pat
