Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 23 9:03 pm)
No idea of the freebie but if you're using P6 or 7 you can create your own MAT poses via the Material Room.

Thanks for the heads up. I do remember that I took a template of a clothing and then made my texture in PS. After that, I took the new texture I made and applied it to the clothing and I did this using some program. Then when I want to apply it again, it's in my Pose library under a folder I made. I can't remember the program I used.

You're looking for MatPoseEdit.
I can see it on my old backup CD's but there's no readme and I can't remember who made it. With luck, it may still be available in the Free Stuff here :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
If you have Poser 6 or 7 you are better off creating material Collections. basically create your material setup in poser then save to your material library and it will ask if you want to save as a single material or all the materials on the figure if you save all the materials that is saved as an .mc6 file. you can use this for Poser 6 or 7 or you can convert it to a pz2 extremely easily by editing the file. go into the .mc6 file with a text editor, and where it says mtlCollection change that to figure then resave the file to your pose library but change the extention from .mc6 to .pz2
Quote - What do merchants use for V4 characters? I can't believe they hand code all those Mat files by hand.
Apply the textures manually in the Material Room, save as a Material Collection, edit the file to make it into a PZ2. Dead easy and works for absolutely every figure and every possible selection of materials.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
here's the top of an MC6. your material names, of course, will be different. The main thing is to change mtlCollection to figure.

For a Figure, change it to this & save as a pz2:

I use to have a program or I can't find it LOL, that can create your own textures to any figure. I made my own textures for some clothing and I don't remember what program I used. It's been awhile since I've made textures. I do remember that the program was free. Any help would be appreciated.
