Subject: Trying to contact a merchant (the creator of the virtual backlot series)

aeilkema ( ) posted Wed, 26 September 2007 at 12:46 PM · edited Mon, 11 November 2024 at 8:27 PM

Anyone perhaps know how I can get a hold of liteluvr the creator of the virtual backlot items for Poser (for expample: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=30848 )? I've got a question about the virtual backlot series, I need to ask that merchant.

I've tried sitemail, but that doesn't even get read, anyone else know how to contact liteluvr? If you don't want to post those details here, sent me a mail.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

I don't know of a way to contact the merchant, but as an alternative, what's your question? Maybe someone whom has the product and uses it knows the answer.
I recently purchases couple of the backlot pieces, unfortunately, I didn't get around to installing and using them yet....

Another alternative would be to post your inquiry in the Marketplace Customer Support forum.

It's about an arrangement I want to make to use the items in my latest game I'm working on, so I need to get a hold of the merchant to discuss this.

Liteluvr has some fantastic models for sale.  I can't blame you for being interested in using them.

They still might be able to help you out in the Customer Support forum, if no one knows the vendor's contact information here.

I wish they hadn't taken the ability to email members away from us. I can appreciate why they felt a need to do it, but it's grossy inconvenient and penalizes all of us because of the actions of a few, which I don't agree with at all.

They did give the ability to people to  "opt in" to receive notification of PM's but that doesn't help if the person hasn't logged in here for any period of time and therefore don't know that they have a PM waiting for them.  It should have been turned on to send ebots automatically with the option for those who don't want it to turn it off. This way those people we have been waiting weeks and weeks to get hold of, would know that they have messages waiting.

Anyway, he hasn't posted anything in his gallery in ages, but you might try leaving a comment for him in one of his gallery images.

While sending a PM to the person won't give them an ebot notice of a PM waiting for them, most have previously set their gallery settings to receive ebots on gallery comments. Ask him to check for his private messages. That should reach him.

Here is an image of his, his most recent from 2004.

That posting in the gallery idea just came to me. I decided to try that for a few people that I've been trying to contact and haven't heard from for weeks and months.

A shame that we have to resort to using the gallery as a means to get an email through to someone though.

That's a good idea Acadia. 2004 is a long time ago already, hope he's still around.

Thanks for trying to help me out, it's appreciated!

*They're very cool indeed and fit the game setting very well. Unfortunally I've spent all of my budget for the game on other items already, so I'm trying to contact if we can work something out perhaps.

Alas...the economics of art!  I hope that Liteluvr is well and still producing somewhere.  I personally would like to see more of these.  Adding the crowd scenes would be wonderful, I think.

I'd still try the sitemail, if you don't want to contact him/her via the Marketplace Support forum.  He has logged on within the last few months (sorry, can't be more specific), so you may have some luck ;)

Try contacting Hawkfyr, Tom's a friend of Liteluvr's (Jeff), so he may know his email
I do have an email address for Liteluvr, but it's really old and I'm not sure it will still work, and as far as I know it is the same one he had in his read-me which you probably already have, I'll mail you it anyway

Cheers

Billy

I agree 100%.  She's definitely what I'd call "my type"......although I'm not in the market, and haven't been for approx. 2 decades.  Not to mention that one was a little before my time, anyway.

If you read through some of the German comments which are appended to her one other video that is listed on Youtube (using Babelfish for us non-German speakers), you'll find that she's apparently still alive today, but 64 years old -- and basically forgotten by most.  I gather that she was very big in East Germany back in the 60's, though.  She probably would have made it big over here too, if people had known about her at the time.  But I'm sure that the East German government wouldn't have dreamed of allowing her to perform in the US.  Too much danger that she'd defect.

It's also interesting to peruse the German-language comments concerning the differences between the way that women dressed & carried themselves back then vs. today.  I believe that I detect a sigh behind the words.............

Yep......that was one that they didn't shoot up with steroids.

I'm presuming you have tried the liteluvr@liteluvr.com address in his more recent readme files. The actual domain doesn't seem to have a site associated with it right now. His older readmes have an email at liteluvr@yahoo.com. Maybe try that?
