Hi,

I seem to be having problem with one of my poser files. the image looks ok in "preview" mode, but when I render it, image ends up too "dark" + it flips (pls see image)...

Any advice as to how to fix this porblem would be greatly appreciated....

BTW, I am using Poser 7....

Thank you

Two questions:

  1. Why are you using the Poser 4 render engine?  (That is the config screen for the Poser 4 renderer)

2,  What exactly are you rendering?  It looks to me like maybe a model of a picture frame?  Does it contain a glass material over the front that is reflecting/mirroring the picture as well as a black environment color?

Oh..

I mainly use Poser 4 rendering option (as opposed to firefly) since it is faster.....

on your 2nd question.... the picture frame does not include a reflecting surface.... the prop has two components.... the frame and the picture.....

not too sure what you mean by "environment" color.....

So what happens if you "ignore shader trees"?

And can you render from the back side of the picture?  I'm wondering if your normals are reversed, but I don't have time to expirement with that concept right now...

Good luck,

ignoring the shader tree didn't do it either..... just testing different settings, found a fix....added the image to "Ambient" (in Material room) and everything ok now!!

thanks for your help

Cheers
