Subject: Texture slipping?

I while ago I posted on this exact same issue I am having, but all the advice I received did not solve any of the problems. Through no fault of anybody's; maybe nobody knows how to fix this problem. Notice how the areolas are completely screwed up. Everything renders perfectly in every model with every texture, except this area of the body. To try and solve this problem I have: Used every model and texture beginning with the standard Victoria and Millwoman texture and rendered them with all the options set to every combination I could figure out (bump-maps, transparencies, anti-aliasing, ect). EVERY model and EVERY texture has this EXACT same problem rendering. I have even formatted my hard drive, re-installed Windows, and put Poser back on, not forgetting the Pro Pack and SR1. This has done nothing to help. As you can see, I am very lost. I have tried everything I conjured up. Can someone please help me?

Make the material color of the nipples the exact same color as the skin material (which should be white).

Not sure what the poblem is .. Here is a 3 second render of the default vicki 1 with her texture .. the only place I can see yours being a problem anyway is if you are doing a close up the breast and all but not sure how to fix it ..

JeffH, I have the skin colors set to white already. Ghostofmacbeth, I know that's what mine should look like. It just doesn't. And other textures are worse, so closeups are not the only problem. I really am desperate: I can't do squat with Vicki in the nude when she's like this.

You could always do some post work ... But to be honest their are nipples of all kinds of shapes and all and the one you showed would be fine from a distance. Not sure why it is doing it though and that is the bigger thing. This is the standard Vicki with no morphs, changes to Millie etc?

Reminds me of my wife after she broke her collarbone.

is it possible to assign a texture to the nipple area by itself? Then you wont have that problem no?

The problen IMO is due to the fact that the geometries on the nipple are tiny compared to the rest of the map. Because the nipple stretches over a rounded area, any texture deviation that goes outside the area of the nipple geometry onto the breast will stretch. You can use just a nipple map and asign it seperately but you should stick to nipple skin tones that are are only slightly darker to the breast skin, as the geometry on this area is not really round. It's more of a blocky, hexagonal geometry. You could go further and totally remap the nipples much larger, simillar to what was done with 'Eve' (I think).

Seems to me the first time you brought this up you stated that the nipple texture was set to white, but still, after looking at it again, that has to be the problem. Vickie is mapped so the nipples are called out as a seperate material, but not mapped seperatly, just like the lips. The nipple area is just a spot on the body map. So if the body skin's and the nipple material's color and ambient color and highlight color are all set to exactly the same color, and they point to the same map you shouldn't see this "ring around the nipple". We see it, therefore as Sherlock Homes would say, they are not set to the same. ;-) I've seen some maps where the nipples were slightly misplaced, but that just results in a texture that doesn't match the mesh, not what we see here. If you want to try something else, make a backup of your object file and CR2 for Victoria, open the originals in a text editor and delete the nipple material (it it near the end of the file). Then delete the RSR file that is in the geometry folder with the object file you just modifed, and you will have a Vickie without a nipple texture, who will automatically get the color for this area from the skin color. You really don't need this material anyway, it is there so the body would look nice without a texture map.
