Subject: Packaging V4 Morphs?

Seliah ( ) posted Tue, 08 January 2008 at 6:46 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 6:34 PM

Just a quick question, here. I know this is possible as I've seen these packages put out there for freebie as well as paid MP's, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it, aside from hand editing a .pz2 file.

HOW do I package up a V4 morph set for general distribution? I don't want to just set a .pz2 and then have the end-user wind up pulling their hair out when it changes her body shape AND that pose they've worked so hard to achieve.

But she also cannot have an INJ/REM file done for her in the sense of the Mil3's, either.

Hand-editing the pz2 is one possibility, I guess, but I really feel like I'm in WAY over my head when I look at doing that. I can't make heads or tails of what's a morph and what's part of the physical pose...

So I guess this is more directed to those of you who HAVE put out V4 packages, then. How are you getting the morph poses to work? Are we just hand-editing every pose file for V4 now?

V4 does have INJ channels like the earlier Mil figures.

The same tools can be used, but if your working with V4.1, you need to save to the figure library before trying to use them as they all pre-date the the way DAZ has constructed the CR2.

Alright.. I'm lost then. chuckles

When I make the Mil3 morph sets, I use IPB. IPB, however, does not have a V4 library. Ja, I am working with V4.1, not the first V4.

I also don't know where to find the library? How do I save it and get it into IPB to make the morphs?

See linked post for a helper script.

This question seems to have been coming up a lot recently, you might want to look at the other threads and see if there's something else that helps or suits you better.

Gak, i'm sorry! I did scan the thread list before I posted, and didn't see anything on it or I would have tagged it onto one of the others. My apologies. : )

No apologies needed.
Given that some thread titles don't give too much clue to what they're about, it's easy to miss something relevant or remember which one it was.
