Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
Hi Ninhalo5
I did a custom full body morph for V3 in Lightwave, exported the obj. Then I fired up Poser's Little Helper and made an INJ/REM file for it. No DAZ dials were involved, just Lightwave, Poser's Little Helper, Poser 6 and a lot of help from the folks here.
Here's the thread http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2725718
Cheers
Pat
Thanks Pat, PLH was one of the programs that I tried though It only created a blank file. I also tried injection magic and that just looked at me like I was stupid.... it may be right lol
I even tried Thorne's suggestion over at his site and that totally baffled me.
when it come to these scripts I have some sort of mental block... I look at the structure of the file and my brain bleeds. :o)
You can use my MorphFromObjP6 script www.svdlinden.nl/webposerstuff/downloads/MorphFromObjP6.zip
It'll create an INJ/REM pose set for you. The deltas are within the INJ pose, and they are completely meaningless without V4LE (or V4, the morph will also work on the fully loaded V4).
The INJ and REM pose are safe to distribute, since there is absolutely no way to extract the V4 geometry from those files. The INJ file only contains the difference between the original vertex locations and the morphed vertex locations, without a clue as to where the original vertex used to be.
For the MorphFromObj script to work, you need the morphed V4LE as a single .OBJ file, with groups in the .OBJ that match the body part internal names of V4LE. If you haven't morphed the hands, you could export the morphed V4LE without hands (and MorphFromOBJ will not create a morph in the hands).
I don't know whether V4LE has injection channels. MorphFromOBJ requires injection channels to be present.
Hope this helps.

Hmm.
What we see here is the result of messing up vertex orders. Some 3D modeling packages do that (3DS Max is notorious in this regard).
As for the channels, it doesn't really matter which one you pick.

Question - using this with V4.1 ? Do I need to save the entire character out as a .obj file to do this? I've never worked with scripts before, period, ever, in Poser, so I have zero clue here what's needed.

Hi all, I know here we go again not another question on how to properly package.....
I hate to do this but my questions have never been resolved.
I have created a character for V4 LE meaning no dials and no daz morph packs.
I would like to give my character to the community but I can not figure out the legal way to distribute her.
I have emailed Daz 3 months ago and no answer there. you would think with copywriting their material they would be happy to respond. guess I was wrong.
several people have told me to get this program and that program but these so called programs did nothing. I forget what programs they were but they did something along the lines of setting up inj/rem files.... which would be ok if I used dials to create my character.
My character is made up of added morphs based on the original daz geometries (head, neck, shoulders ect..) so giving away the obj files is a no no, or is that the only way I can distribute the files but run them through our old friend objaction mover?
sending out just a pose file wouldn't be much of a help with out the obj files so I'm confused on what to do here. each morph to create the character is in an individual morph assigned to a body part.
Can anyone offer me a solution to this mystery?
thanks
