in issue 99 of 3d world magizine they have a great tutorial on what you are trying to do. Try searching their site.

Crescent has a couple of tutorials on "frankensteining" figures here:
http://www.ebonshire.net/tut-posa/index.php
I think they may require you to model a neck but I skip that part and use the neck from the figure whose body I'm using since I am not doing animations and can postwork any problem areas.
Hope this helps.
I am currently using mostly A3 and V4 as my females and M3 as my male characters.
You can not buy everything you see and want, so you have to compromise.
If money is an issue you should download Appolo maximus as a male character, it's free model with several free textures and one of the best poser-models being around these days!

-How can you improve things when you don't make mistakes?
If outfits is the concern (as it often is) what you might want to do is get a plugin or software for converting clothing from one character to another.
Here are some of the popular options:
Each has it's loyal following and I have not used all three so I could not tell you the main differences. I will say that the power to make you A3 outfit fit on V4 might change your world.
Hope this helps. If I completely misinterpreted your needs, then ignore me.
sometimes what's needed is the poses not the clothes, so converting clothing doesn't solve everything. frankensteiing is also good. Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

...or you can follow this great and simple tutorial! The only thing is that V4´s head and neck differ a bit from the other ones, but postwork or a touch of magnets (or both) will do the thing :)) Trust me...it works, almost every character in my renderings are hybrids! Check out my gallery and see for yourself.I once tried that tutorial to put V4 head on /v3, but unfortunately after getting halfway, the instructions weren't good enough for me because V4 has extra parts in her mouth and tonuge so I couldn't hack the Cr2. hacking up a fur ball would have been easier.

PS good tut for transplanting heads from one mil figure to another though.

Well if you're swapping between unimesh figures you can always just use Kamilche's script Shapeshifter found at PhilC's site.
I should look at that tut again then, but I already tried it twice before. Love esther

I did export them, but I was stuck when it came to incoorporating the code into the Cr2 Love esther

Hi,
I am currently using mostly A3 and V4 as my females and M3 as my male characters.
You can not buy everything you see and want, so you have to compromise.
I want to know if I can hybridise a head of a V4 figure onto a A3 body and save it as a new character morph.
I have seen something about this topic in tutorial format somewhere, but I have not taken notice and now I can not find it. I am not even sure if it is what I think it was?
