Funny thing is I was at a book store the other day and saw this and did not think anything about the title. Does anyone have a good recipe for deep fried Tiggers?

Hate to think what's for dessert!

I've heard that some of that crap is good.  Personally, I think you might be SOL if you tried it. Cooking with Pooh is big with the ESAD crowd, but I'm not going to try it, no matter how many times I'm told to.

Oh I suspect that the author and publisher knew exactly what they were up to, and that kids will giggle accordingly.  :-)

Thinking about this and this might be a great render challenge!
Here is a link to some more book titles

A good editor would have changed it to "Cooking with Winnie the Pooh."

What do SOL and ESAD stand for.  My online dictionary of Internet Scronyms doesn't have entr for them.

You need a better dictionary 😉
Plenty of alternatives -> SOL, -> ESAD
In this case I suspect "St Out of Luck" and "Eat St And Die".

BINGO!

You win a pot of Pooh!  Wait....that's a crappy prize.  Never mind!

Yes. And not only that, but look at the illustration. It's not that big a stretch, is it, to interpret that as, well, a bowl of ... well, y'know ...

(okay, so one wouldn't usually expect to find chips in it ... but still ... given the title, the bowl full of brown stuff just begs for the interpretation doesn't it?)

I vote for you to make one and mail it to the oil speculators that drove the prices up, and tell 'em to eat it with a big dollop of Cool Whip!  They'd appreciate.  Those guys are so full of crap, a little more poo won't hurt'em!

Attached Link: Wombat Stew

Many years ago, I tripped over a Children's cookbook called "Wombat Stew". I still have it, picked it up simply for the illustrations and the funny recipes.

Really funny and if you can get hold of it, your kids will totally love it. :)

I mean... who could possibly resist a dish called Numbat Nachos? Or how about a Dingo Damper? Bilby whiz-bang banana splits, anyone?
Or maybe a Mopoke Milkshake is more your thing? How about Tasmanian Devil Food Cake? Bandicoot Ginger Biscuits?

Hehhehehe great stuff, I'm telling ya, and wonderful illustrations. Well worth getting if you can, just as something totally off the wall on your cookbook shelf.

muralist, that's why I put OT in the title of this thread ..... we do that from time to time, and a bit of humor is good to let off the steam.

OT is allowed. Spam however is not.

Gee, muralist, how about developing a sense of humor? Or just skipping over OT threads instead of the 'tude? There is no shortage here in this forum of posts where you can read all about Poser.

I think we pretty much covered that.

And sorry if I said something. Or at least sorry if you see it that way.
