I am new to DAZ/Studio. I am running Windows Vista on my PC and cannot for the life of me get downloaded content into the studio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  What am I doing wrong?

Using vista, vista makes loading content into your runtime very difficult. If you want to add content, move or delete it you have to signed in as an administrator, alternately you can reinstall Studio to a directory outside of programs.

Or, you could turn off the UAC in Vista when you're installing content.

Truth to tell, I think it's a stupid feature and have it permanently turned it off. Its only purpose is to protect users from their own mistakes.

I have UAC turned of as I don't have other users and I don't move profiles to other machines.  I also use a different location for my runtime.

You are probably seeing the Categories option, this option doesn't look at the actual folders but at a database instead.  In top right of the Content tab there is a small button with a triangle in it.  Click this then select "View folders as tree" or "View folders as list".  This will let you view your actual folders (assuming you set them up right in "Preferences").
