Subject: HOW TO RENDER BOTH SIDES IN POSER 6 PREVIEW

billythekid ( ) posted Sun, 17 August 2008 at 11:55 AM · edited Wed, 04 December 2024 at 10:08 PM

is it possible to render two sides of clothing, for example, using only the preview renderer.
HOW DO I GET DOUBLE-SIDED RENDERS IN PREVIEW using poser 6?
Is it possible...I thought I did it in the past reversing the normals but can't remember what I did.

thanks in antisipation....billythekid

If you need to see both sides for adjustment and setup, try using one
of the Wireframe display modes.

reduced the size??.........here he is.....(he was too big for his sandals) how do I render inside the tunic without waiting till my clothes go out of fashion? in preview poasr 6

Poser does not have the ability to display back faces in preview. It'll render them in final renderings, but will not display them in preview.

Is there a specific reson you want to see them in a preview, other then it being very annoying to not see the back sides?

I think personally that the preview renders have a freshness all of their own and also it's the speed.
Pity their render wasn't as good as Max. I use both and I find it a pain as I usually build the same models in each program for different reasons.

Max for adjusting vertices and renders and poser for speech, expression, model manipulation, clothing and all Daz has to offer.
I wish there was a program that encompassed all of these........You don't know of one do you?

I just found a way to do it.......... 1    I opened another (cuirass) tunic                                                        2    hid the parts I didn't want.                                                        3    reversed the normals                                                        4    conformed it

                                                              walla

This is a very useful trick. Poser's Preview Renderer is now very good, IMO, it often gives me what I need. Just remember that you can texture the reversed surface differently-- this will give you a cloak interior which is different than the cloak exterior; in the case of the Roman tunic, it looks like you're getting interior textures correctly from the UV mapping, but this won't always be the case

What is the other way crocodilian?.......I'm very interested.........as I might also use a cloak.
