Hi folks, I hardly ever post in here...usually only to announce magazines giving Bryce away for free...but I wanted opinions on this scene. I'm posting it because some of you may not stop by the galleries or the Work In Progress gallery in particualr. So my questions are of a general nature: How's my light? -only the sun used. Creature textures? - can I use an image map for bumps because these guys don't have a bump layer. Overall impression of the compostion? What out of place or breaks the flow of the image? Any help is welcome, and I hope to hear from ya soon.

Thanks. Now, besides missing teeth (they have teeth now btw), is there anything noticably wrong with the image? I'm glad you think they turned out well though.

Thanks Dave. I thought the lighting was a little much on the Abunai themselves. I do want it to be a high contrast scene though, so I'm not sure how to go about softening the light on just the beasts without affecting the rest of the scene. Any ideas? So I CAN use an image map as a bump channel, that's great. I read somewhere that you couldn't but if an old pro like yourself says it's so, then it's so! Thanks.

I think I recognize that terrain from one of your posts a while back...you said it was a WIP I think...and I was wondering what became of it. as for softening the light on the Abunai maybe try a darker shade of grey in their texture's ambient channel or darkening the diffuse color. As always great modelling.

Yup, that's the saem backdrop. I decided against the Decayed skeletons and went with these guys instead. I'll have to try the ambient/diffuse thing. Thanks tons Wadus.

That little guy looks fantastic Teyon. Can't wait til you make it poseable! I will put him to good use! I agree with everyone on the light, you can try to tone it down abit by changing it to a light grey. Maybe turn down the shadows abit as well. I usually set them to around 50 or lower. When you set the bump channel I would set it to no higher than 10. But that is just my opion. Darrell
