Hi.
I need your help.
I uesd Poser pro(8).
And I want to export poser 4 people to obj file.
But I can't check "Export object groups for each body part"
How can I check it?
Can you help me?

Hey Smalll

How's it going?  Great,  I hope.

First things first,  have you read through Doc Geep's tutorials?  How about PhilC's tutorials,  have you read through them?  If not I suggest you do so.  From my point of view,  they are the best way to learn and understand Poser.

@ patorak:  those will be great starting points for any newbie except in small's case, English is not her first language.

@ small: if you are going to export a an entire figure to obj, make sure the entire figure is checked off in the hierarchy editor with universe unchecked.  Export the figure and uncheck 'As Morph Target (no world transformation).
Question: what exactly would you like to doe with these obj files?

Hi Smalll

You're welcome.  I wonder if we could get Doc's tutorials translated?

smalll ( ) posted Fri, 26 December 2008 at 9:11 AM

In your export options, check the box next to 'Body'.  I noticed it is unchecked.

Hi, hborre.

I also have PoserPro and I just check the settings for exporting a figure as an object.  As I understand it, you want to export the entire figure.  In the select object, make sure that all the body parts are selected.  Uncheck Universe and Ground.  Leave the Export Options the way it appears.  Click OK, then open your obj file in the Morphing application of your choice.  If you intend to load your new morphs as Morph Targets, then please check 'As Morph Target' when exporting.

When you open your obj file in the new application program, the entire figure will load in.  Hope this helps.  Let me know if this is what you want.

**Thanks to hborre.

**To be frank with you, I do not want always entire figure to obj file.

I removed Poser pro and reinstall.
But the result is same.
So I will format my notebook.

hborre ( ) posted Fri, 26 December 2008 at 9:41 PM

There is no need to reinstall the Poser.  I think you are misinterpreting that selection in the Export Options window.  The option you are pointing to is also grayed out on my program.  That option is not necessary for what you want to do.  Again, if you want to use the morphed obj as a morph target then you need to have 'As Morph Target' checked.  Now if you really intend to morph your obj for importing back into Poser, then leave that option unchecked.
