Subject: which female model renders the best with the most detail?

homeriscool ( ) posted Sat, 03 January 2009 at 3:47 PM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 2:51 AM

hi everyone, im looking for a high quality female model, which has very high detail and looks realistic. can anyone help?

Victoria 3 or 4 from Daz , Miki 2 from Content paradise and several others can look quite good with a good skin texture and lighting.   There are a couple models with built in genitalia if you need that in the renderotica store.

I don't have a specific recommendation , but one thing to consider when choosing your model is not necessarily going for a high polygon count, as most renderers provide you with a "smooth polygons" or "subdivison" option when rendering, so the polygons are only smoothed when you render, leaving you with a lighter model to work with in the mean time. A well designed lower polygon model (which subdivides nicely) can be better than a super high resolution model. Just something to consider when making your decision.

Nothing (presently)afaik,  is higher detail than V4. She is 3X4096 tall. Face, torso, legs..

M2, V3 are only 2X or Head, Body

Realistic may take some time...

what i mean is v4 charecters, im sorry my mistake.

There is a push now for using shader node texturing in the material room which elevates realism in most models.  Especially using Bill Baggins' VSS prop, even a bad texture map can be converted into amazing renders.  And the nice thing about it, you can apply it to any human model at the moment.

Marie is good. Lana @ Daz,, Milan by Danae here. Many look great at a few paces... Only a few are ready for closeups.. Depends what you are doing I guess...

This is full preview. Not a render. Click to see..

*Wow! That looks absolutely unbelievable for a preview: what kind of graphic card are you using and what are you preview settings? I have never achieved anything close to this with preview.

best regards,

Boppper.

Thank you, especially the hair looked very good. With this kind of preview settings animation would be very fast to make. It's a pity shadows aren't possible in preview (yet).

regards,

Bopper.

I like Rebelmommy's characters very much. Here a render of Lecretia with BB's skin shader. I think I need some hair without painted-in highlights....
