I've been doing more and more in black and white. I think it brings in emotion and drama.

woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound

This image was generated using Vue. It had very little color in it so I thought I'll try and see how it looks in pure b&w. (I made several watercolor paintings too of this theme, you can see those too in my gallery, links in th e b&w image)"I paint that which comes from the imagination or from dreams,
or from an unconscious drive. I photograph the things that I do not
wish to paint, the things which already have an
existence."

Hel is the ruler of Helheim, the realm of the dead. The monstrous daughter of the trickster god Loki and his wife Angrboda. She is the youngest child and is usually described as a horrible hag, half alive and half dead, with a gloomy and grim expression.
Some nice B&W here. **

I think Black and white is great personally. Color can be over rated :P
I like space, so I made 3 versions for this.
There's a forum version which is attached here.
A off site version (1280 by 720 JPEG) - CLICK HERE!
As well I have a colored version (I hope it's okay) on my gallery, but I won't link it.
The image is supposed to relay a kind of message. More that Earth is our planet, we are here, born on it, etc.
It relies on us as much as we rely on it.

Hi All!
It's Challenge Time again! Here is a snip from geoegress' note to me:
"how about a "Black and White" It is an under used artistic technique that produces some really great pictures. (B&W, grey scale, sketch render, it's what I mean) "
I always like this kind of topic! The challenge is for everyone, regardless of their creative tools. Everyone can enter, whether they are using 2D, 3D, fractal, animation or any other software; whether they are photographers, writers or even musicians. The challenge arena is open to all. Come and join in, test your creative tools against all the others!
The Challenge begins immediately and will close to entries at the end of May. I will give you a few days notice. All entries will be to this thread or with a link to a larger image. Voting will begin then in the same thread.
You may enter an existing work if you like, but we would prefer to see a new work created for this challenge... it IS a challenge after all, lol! You may enter more than one work, but remember that in the voting, each entry will be judged separately. If you choose to enter more than once, please NAME EACH OF YOUR ENTRIES!
Show us your inspiration!!
