great renders. a better bump map and she is finished.

Jules53757 ( ) posted Sat, 06 June 2009 at 4:40 PM

No, she is not finished! If she should have the quality of some new commercial figures, you're right but Antonia will be better then other figures (and much cheaper ;)  ).

She isn't ready until odf decides she's ready.  We're not building a pocket knife or even a boot knife here...we're honing a samurai sword here!  She'll be so cute and spectacular, she's cut the barbies and Vickies down like wheat before the scythe!

odf, ran into a problem when I tried to repose the right pinky finger. Here is a shot of what happens, distortion for some reason.

Following post will have an image of Antonia with her full texture and, gasp, wearing a dress. Lol.

Akasaha muttering to herself, "Hmmm, now if I can find where I put my shoes, I should look human enough to go get a few bites."

Later if time permits, I will post the most recent work on her texture.
I've got the veins looking better now and added them to her body as well.

There will, of course, be a set without the veins.

Thanks, BluEcho! Looks like the joint parameters are slightly off on that pinky. Should be easy to fix.

The pale skin and dark dress look great together. But when did Akasha ever care whether she passed for human?

Excellent work. Just fantastic.

Is she ready for prime time yet? I'll do some clothing textures if there's anyone making clothes for her (and I'm certain there is) ;o) Sorry, I'm late to this thread, and reading the entire thing would probably take me the better part of a weekend..LOL. She can be made even lighter in tone using the shaders.

And she can be changed to other tones and hues as well using the shaders since the original texture is very light.

There is only a bit more to do on the light texture and then I'll finish the other one that goes with this pack.

Prefer parented shoes whenever possible. But obviously if the shoe design climbs up into shin area then not possible.

Fisty ( ) posted Sun, 07 June 2009 at 1:07 AM

These are just slip on mules with like 2 inch heels...  I like parented shoes too.. cause you can take them off and have them look pretty on the floor. (I really hate wearing shoes)

Okay, band meeting... I mean, progress report!

So I've worked on Antonia's vulva some more (does that sound creepy to anyone else?). In the end, I did not only lift her pelvic floor a bit, but also reshaped the labia and the clitoral hood. Then I've started to adjust the JCMs for the thigh movement. This time I tried to spread the necessary deformation over the whole groin area and lower belly instead of keeping it on one side. This is a bit tricky because of the relatively complex geometry between her legs. I can now see why modelers prefer the "family-friendly" versions of figures - much easier to handle. Well, I guess if Wings supported low-res control meshes for this kind of work, it would have been easier, too.

So far I've only adjusted the stage one JCM for x-rotation. I'll re-do the z-rotation and the x-rotation stage 2 from scratch because I think it'll be less work then trying to use the old versions as starting points.

Poser has just finished a render that I will post to my gallery in a few minutes.

No problem, Good Night!

Here a face shot with the Toni texture. IMO the edges of the lips are a little bit too sharp and a displacementmap for th elips would be nice. But Antonia is so versatile, other figures show even morphed their origin but this face looks more like a Miki morph then one for Antonia.

My kind of girl! I love women who are just as comfortable walking around in a tiny black dress and high heels with their hair up and a really great make-up job as walking around in a simple light sundress and flip flops or various states of undress and barefoot with a toe ring or ankle chain with no make-up or hair expensively dressed. Shows confidence and natural grace that is hard to find in modern women.

Do you have a render of these mules? Would love to see them on Antonia!  ;)
l also love seeing this kind of shoe dangling off a gently pointed toe.....Oh!...(aesthetic) Goose Bumps!  LOL

Love the hair on this image. Is this an example of what can be done in newer versions of Poser (hair functions) or is this a commercially available hair prop?

I wish I could see it.  When RuntimeDNA redid their website, I can't see it any more. The page is juct a couple of inches wide and the big image looks like a postage stamp.  The small images are fuzzy dots, and the type is one pixel tall black lines.  I'd report it, but I can't tell how.  Even magnified, you can't see anything.

Joelglaine:

here is their customer service e-mail addie. Drop them an e-line and perhaps a screen capture of the problem and see what they have to say about it. I have never seen that problem though for a very long time I had difficulty getting their email newsletter.....all the links on it were dead. Took them a loooooong time to finally fix the problem.
Good luck!

I think I am already too deneatured from working with artificial humans, if you would not have nemtioned it I would not even have thought about it

Cool idea with this mask for hand and feet! And about the displacement or too sharp edges: Get yourself the developer set I've uploaded as well, there is a head without lips and the matching lips on a seperate layer (and everything as bump as well) that you can alter and tweak to your hearts content 😉

Hmmm.... yes, whatever I set up then LOL I am not even sure what or if I altered something in the shader beside the tint (as far as we are talking about the vss-version). It is possible that I altered the bump settings to work look best with the bump included in the set. but in fact I would have to compare it side by side to find out.
But the tint is very important in this material setup so it may be that it is all about that - and yes, maybe the light as well...

she doesn't have pubic hair geometry for transmap, Shante.  3D arena has a prop for vicky 4  that could probably be made to work.  I think adding geometry for it to Antonia like V3 had would be a rigging nightmare.  Making a morphing prop that could be easily moved and had more 3d than painted/transmapped hair would be easier and look better... something that the base could be below the skin and have the transmapped planes/hair room hair grow up through the skin would be better, would fit more morphs and bending.

Thanks for the nice welcome, Joel! I was infected by the Antonia virus long ago when I saw the first renders of her, still bald and not able to bend even a finger. So I stated that I would like to create a skin for her as soon as she is ready enough. Unfortunatly Leo and I had to move our home twice between October and March so I am a bit behind. But yes, I am infected - by the idea behind it, by the figure itself and most of all by the fun to create together with other artists (without any pressure and profit)!!

I like the makeup you gave her BlueEcho. Sometimes I have no fun in creating makeups, it's something that I have to be in the right mood for. If I am not in the right mood I sit in front of the face texture and have no clue what to do - and if I create something anyway it looks either dull or tasteless. I know: 3D-figures wear every kind of clothing and makeup we tell them to. But I do not want to prey on them too much 😉

Jules, is this something you are about to create?! It's awesome!! I other words: I would like to have it
