Subject: How to auto-save the render image you done ?

Michael_REMY ( ) posted Sat, 20 June 2009 at 10:46 AM · edited Thu, 26 December 2024 at 1:59 AM

hi !

During my design process, my i make many renders, just picture.
I would like to save them without having to open the Menu,  then selecting 'export image'...
i think this way is very boring...

is there any other method to save the render ?

Thanks for reply and help me ! it is my first one in this gentle forum !

Geep, isn't that the tear off for a separate rendered image window?  Didn't think it would automatically save to file.

michael_REMY: the purpose of the export image is to select what format you would like to save your render as.  There are better formats than just jpeg which is a lossy format, it doesn't retain pixel information readily when scaling and resizing.  BTW, there is nothing gentle about this forum, we're a rough and tumble group. He he.

There were a few render scripts that would save the image afterwards.

In Poser 7 you can set the render cache and reload and save after a bunch of renders are done .

Yes ... and No, it does not "automatically" save but it's relatively easy to use since it's only one click and it's right there, i.e., you don't need to use the menu(s) ... . 😄

It was just a suggestion ... then later on, you can save** (or not [X]) **the ones you want to keep.

I use this frequently to do a bunch of test renders because it's fast and convenient.

Attached Link: Firefly render scipt

Or you could download D3D's free script that provides a lot of control over the render process, including auto saving to your preferred destination.

You can save any of them? On my P7, it only lets me save the last one I rendered. Is there somewhere I can set this to enable me to pick which one(s) I want to save?

thank you all of you guys but i found another way better user-friendly :

I installed Hypesnap and made a simply screen cap. Hypersnap can localise a specific area and autosave with incremential file number, just by hitting one key !

Problem is solved !

Seek and ye shall find, no?

OR ... You could "Make Movie" and use ...
... render as Image Files and it would be TOTALLY automated. 😄

Just a thought.

So, unless animating, one must still save each of them one at a time.

No one has yet discovered a method to batch convert all the files in the Poser Render Cache from their raw (.tmp) format to some common image format?

Well, as long as our best and brightest are on it, there is hope!

Thanks for the confirmation Doc.  Just wanted to make sure I'd not missed a trick.
