Sirenia,
cheers! :)
quick gudie on thius but NOTE, it's very finicky and the settings for OVERALL DENSITY need tweaked to suit the scene

Thanks for sharing your know how on this , Silverblade!
Looks promising! Certainly a lot of potential with this volumetric nebula approach...
Still, I will probably stick to my 2D approach, since I am getting neat results while render times are kept within a reasonable range.

Oh... ignore my last post will ya.
I was doing it in the 'standard mode' and not in the 'volumetric mode' atmosphere model.
I just wanted you all to show AGAIN how stupid i can be sometimes LOL !! ;-)
It is working great now :-)

my pleasure bud :)
oh, 2D, using a plane? intrigued
Sirenia
well, I'm just as silly as you then as I was using standard atmospheres ! ;)
never thought to use Volumetric atmosphere, lol! need to test that, you may hvae fiund a neat trick :)
I just hand tweak the nebulas, the density/fuzziness needs lot of work for each scene, usually.

Silverblade, did you try cloud layers also?
I did a quick test with bitmap driven cloudlayers, then you can create any shape, depth or multiple layers.
Here is a quicky inspired on the "Pillars of Creation" Just a rough try.. but i think you can get good results when you start adjusting the quality, roughness, feathers etc.. just making advantage of the cloud settings at you're wishes.
Just draw it in a paint program and use that in the function editor to create any cloud in you're shape, turn of repeat so you get a single cloud, Point the camera to the sky.

Oh and as far as that blue-ish thing from my first example, well... i think it 's some kind of bug in the preset atmosphere that come with Vue, the one with the stars in it. If i pre-load that atmosphere, it comes in all blue on it 's own !**

That looks cool and promising, Cherryman!
