How do I make the bridge to Daz Studio 3 in Bryce. The bridge now opens Daz Studio 1.4. And I cannot use my Daz 3 files in Daz 1.4 because it cannot read the newer files and "I have to update". But I am updated. How do I explain this to Bryce?

Or could this work: change the 1.4 exe file for a copy of the 3 exe file so Daz 3 will start instead of 1.4. I can't try it, because I can't find the 1.4 exe file.

 Bryce is not currently compatible with D|S 3 via the bridge.
DAZ has said they are working on a fix and that it will be released "soon".

What is the next best thing. Downgrade my Daz 3 daz files (no idea how) to Daz 1.4 ? Then I have a plugin problem. For instance Skeleton dll is loaded but fails. No idea why.

Export from Bryce is very limited. I think only mountains as 3d. So I am stuck at only using rendered images? Using Bryce 5.5 ? Daz 2?

Daz 2.3 still works with Bryce.

The last DS 3 beta was supposed to have fixed the Bryce bridge BUT it just didn't work for me because the optimising images bug seemed to have returned in that version of DS3.

I think you are one step further then me. You get an error for your problem when opening Daz 3 in Bryce? The only thing I can do is my "Launch" button in Bryce to Daz. But then it opens Daz 1.5 My Bryce doesn't even see Daz 3.

Maybe I need to reinstall Daz in the Bryce folder?

I have both DS 2.3 and DS.3 on my puter..but Bryce 6.1 only works with the DS2.3.It won't work with DS3 thus far..

Just downloaded 2.3. What do you do with your D 3 files. I cannot open them in 2.3 because "it is created with a newer version."

You use DS 2.3 with Bryce in the normal way.

You open DS3 and then access the content of DS2 through DS3.

You cannot however open DS2 scenes in DS3 or DS3 scenes in DS2.

It's a bummer but that's the way it works.

What I don't understand is why the bridge worked just fine in DAZ 2.3 but somehow that same code ceased to work, or couldn't be simply recoded  to work in DAZ 3.

I wonder why the DAZ/Bryce bridge is such a head-scratching coding problem for the programmers - is DAZ 3 that different from 2.3?
