Poser Technical F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 12:50 am)
Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
Huh, it occurs to me that I can use Firefox to re-download MS Internet Explorer 8 (even though IE itself cannot download IE, go figure) and re-install it. Since this seems to have broken Poser 8 I guess I'll give that a try.
Surprisingly, that seems to have fixed it. Well even a busted clock is right twice a day!

I'm contacting SM support as well but I thought I'd ask here:
Since maybe yesterday night, Poser 8 fails with the following message in the Library window:
FAULT Detected!
[FaultEvent fault=[RPC Fault faultString="HTTP request error" faultCode="Server.Error.Request" faultDetail="Error:[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles = false cancelable = false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"], URL:http://127.0.0.1:11530/apps/lms/api.py"]messageId="E986DC5F-331C-3282-08E9-7318984E4C72" type="fault" bubbles=false cancelable=true eventPhase=2] --- Fault Request Info:
op=appConfig
edit: Poser actually doesn't die after this error happens, just the library will not start (almost as bad). I looked at the SM support page for "Library does not start" and I don't think this is the same problem. Also reinstalled Flash for IE, no help.
