The first translation was a literal one. French to English in the the literal sense, sounds really odd.

Idiom is so difficult! I'm sure it is difficult to "take a stab" at an English language forum when that isn't your language so you should be proud of yourself for making the attempt.

L'expression idiomatique c'est tres difficile! Je suis sûr qu'il est difficile de vous jetez à un forum en langue Anglaise alors que ce n'est pas votre langue prope. Vous devriez être fier de toi meme pour faire l'essai.
D'ailleurs, je pense que nous pouvons tous vous comprenez assez bien en anglais. Vous ne devriez pas être obligée de sentir timide.
