Subject: RT ENCODER

blueblott ( ) posted Mon, 15 March 2010 at 5:33 AM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 9:19 AM

Greetings.

Can any one help out here with RT ENCODER ?

Have downloaded the De-Code version ( Free)

But when I try to run this I  get the error message that it cannot find  NET Framework 2 which it needs to run this software ?

Have checked and yes it is installed....I re-installed just to make sure but RTE still  will
not kick in.

Have been attempting to open up a file which is encoded with this.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi blueblott,
What operating system are you using and what are you trying to decode.  If it is Vista or Win 7 you may need to temporarily shut down UAC. If not look around for a RT encoder that does not need net framework.

Hope this helps

Hi Dude 007

Thanks for your reply.

I was trying to decode " Werts "  Horus freebie from ShareCG.

Running XP Pro.

The version 2.01 of RTencoder.

For some reason it kept giving me error message that I had to install Net Framework 2 for it to work. when this was already installed.

However in the end I went back to RTe site and downloaded version  1, and it worked ok if a bit slow.

Damned frusrating at the time though
Many thanks for your interest
