Subject: Having A Little problem with Luminance...Any Ideas?

vidyashakti ( ) posted Mon, 12 April 2010 at 12:32 PM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 8:01 AM

Just dowloaded and installed the new Luminance pack for DS (I'm on an IMac). Everything went fine with the download and installation (I thought), but when I went to open up the folder to try it out, I found it empty. So I tried applying it manually and none of the files were even highlighted. I've got both the required products for this. So that is'nt the problem. Has anyone else had this problem. Or am I missing something? Thanks for any input on this.

Namaste;-)

items needed
UberEnvironment Light Shader IBL/HDRI
DAZ Studio 3.0.1.144

did you load and select the uberenviroment first?

i don't have this but, i would load the uberenviroment then select it in the scene
and then load the preset.

Thanks for your reply, SS.
I have both required items and yes I've been using UberEvironment for quite awhile now.

Cheers

newbie question on the UberEnvironment Light Shader IBL/HDRI:

in the promo image, there's no occlusion/shadowing on the undersides of the torus and sphere
where they touch the floor.  is there a way to get it to render the occlusion/shadowing (as one would
get when rendering that in carrara, e.g.)?

it doesn't say it needs uberenviroment but
a light shader to use the item.
