Subject: Why does this happen?

This is the Michael 2 suit.  In Preview mode it looks fine.  But when I render it in firefly it looks semitransparent.  Not sure it shows well in the attached pic but even the sleeves are semitransparent.   I checked the materials and there is no transparency map loaded.  All materials are set to 0% transparency.  This is Poser 7 with all updates, by the way.

Would you be able to show us a screen-capture of the material room (advanced) please?

Also, are normals set to forward?

I set normals to forward as you suggested and then rendered again.  Even the pants are semitransparent

The transparency edge value is set at 1;  this will cause transparency in obliquely-viewed areas.  Set it to 0.

Um, I could barely make out that 1under transparency_edge... you do have a point, Mark.

That was it.  Thank you very much everyone.  Only some of the bodyparts were set like that.  Don't know how they got changed.  Thanks again.
