Cell Phone pics !!

Today most phones have a camera. Do you use your phone  to create art? or just for quick snaps and to document things?

I know we did this once before, but I thought we would try it again.

Post as many as you want..

If you want, tell us about the phone and the pic..where is it, what it is, etc etc...

Did you edit it?  How? on the phone or on your computer?

There are no right or wrong answers..just have fun with your phone cam..

The thing about cell phones cameras...you pretty much have them with you ALL the time.  They may not take hi-res or low light photos like my DSLR, but they're great for candid, spur of the moments captures. Times when you don't have your other camera handy.  

Captured this with my Motorola DROID, using the FXCamera App.

I used the iphone.

1st    overcasted natural light
Low quality but can see all the 'details' also the colors captured well.

2nd  Celling light turned on
This is an interesting shot. The picture on a phone's screen was quite dark. Tapping on a screen I could adjust a brightness a little but a vignette was always there. I was expecting a white ceilling with a yellowish lamp shade, but not. I can not explane it never happened with my canon 400.

3rd   Low light 
I get a lot of noise  at low light it is almost horrible.

Was no editing in sc3 or in the phone ( no option to do so)

@ Joe I surprised how noiseless your shot is. Oh and I am shocked to see how much is it. For that price it must be supper good...lol.

This is my wife, looking down 5th avenue.  The building on the left a bit ahead is the old Ryman Auditorium, known as the place of the "Grand Ole Oprey" for many years.  At the bottom of the street is the Bridgestone Arena...where we were going.

Paul Mccartney started about 8:15 that evening and with no breaks played for 3 hours!  Wow, what a concert.  This is the best one I believe I have seen.  The first had the advantage of being the first time to see this musical artist..this one had the advantage of being really super from start to finish.

I cannot say much about the photo..straight from cam with crop only.   I don't spend much on the phone contract and do not have a "photo" add on...I have to mail the photo to me for about 25 cents charge to get it off the phone.

Tom, the 2nd shot is priceless almost cute...lol.

This is the last one...my very simple phone is close to being lomography.  So, a bit of detail enhancement beyond reality is put to this one so you can read the 'FOR SALE" sign.  The loft is above an alley with some music bars.  You get the little thing on the roof and below that are 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths plus what else in such luxury!   Anything in city center is going to be priced to what the market will bear.

You  could sunbathe on the little porch thing, drift away to the sound of air conditioner units while the folks in two bank buildings took cell phone photos of you. 

If you move in, let me know so I can go to a bank building with my phone...promise to give you a call.

This is likely my last one for the thread..having spent 75 cents to get three images from my phone (email through the cell phone provider to myself) ....there has to be another way!

Tom, I don't know your cell phone type but isn't it an option you can connect a phone to the computer via usb and get a pictures? Just a wild though....

Tunde, I thought so with usb...seems to be possible but quite tough to pull off with this phone, possibly needing some software no one seems to have.  I may want to get another phone.
Taking snaps with the phone is actually fun.  :  )

Sure fun to take picture with cells. I totaly ignore the quality, mine does only 1.3Mb  ( good for nothing) so all I  concentrate on is the compo or interesting subject.

It is a flip phone by Samsung, a fairly recent one and very simple.  The camera is also right at 1.3. 
Honestly, it is not turned on unless I am making a call or expecting one! Otherwise, the phone is turned off..I need to recharge about once every couple of weeks if that tells how much it is used.

Yes, I find photos fun and do not worry about the quality from the phone.   I didn't get it to take the place of my cameras.  My previous phone did not have a camera..yikes!   My wife has a phone with a farily decent camera even if an older phone and she left the protective plastic sheet over the lens for at least a year..no photos at all.   

With this sort of phone use, we could not be typical teenagers or middle-agers it seems.  We live in the 3rd world of cell phone use, or less than that.    I am one of those people who speaks to a cashier at the food store instead of to someone on the phone while the cashier rings up my stuff.

Oh, the phone does have a USB mini plug for the charger.  It will charge and download stuff from a computer with a proper USB cable (I do not have one with the mini and normal sizes on it).   I might get a cable and try to see if I can somehow open "hidden files", looking for the photos.  If that works, I will be in business.  It still takes software to get it to use the USB on the computer to download stuff  but I believe that can be gotten with the cable.

I like the look..invert it in your photo program and it shows the regular view...I had to check that out to see if the negative was accurate and apparently it is.
