Another great set!   It works very well.

I do have question though concerning roads.  I have noticed this in your other sets as well, so I just want to check if it is something other vendors are mishandling or not.

When I see roads in a set, I tend to put vehicles on them.  I have noticed that the lanes in your set appear to be way to narrow, forcing me to scale the vehicle down.  Unfortunately, that means now I have a vehicle that characters can't get into because of size.

I do not know how wide the lanes are in your sets, but in the US the minimum lane width is 10 ft, and is typically 12 ft.  I realize your sets have roads that have parking spaces in them.  Without those parking spaces, it would work OK.  With a parking space I would imagine each lane would be around 20 ft, typically.  8 feet for the parking space, and 12 ft for the lane.

I realize I'm a little anal with this, but I am trying to get as realistic a scene as possible.

It does look very good though!  Can't wait for block 2.

Hi JCleaver, Glad you like the set. I just checked the width of the driving lane and it is 113.5 inches wide as it is inner city. Sorry if I made it a little narrow by about 6 inches but that is just how it worked out. I wanted a closed in feeling between buildings. You know artistic license and all that. Most cars are around 6.5 feet wide so you should not have to scale them down, just watch for taxi drivers. :-) Also when this city was built the construction codes were not as unified. Probably due to crooked officials. :-) Trucks have a maximum width limitation of 94 inches I believe, so they will fit as well. The parking lane is 100.5 inches wide which is okay. Please keep in mind I built this set so the roads would actually have a crown to them. So adjust your cars position accordingly. If you really want to make the roads 12' wide simply scale the whole set by 126.8722 percent and then the roads will be 12' wide if that is what is important to you. You have a keen eye for detail my friend! Once again thanks for purchasing my products! Regards, Tom P.S. set two is well under way. Here is a little peek at it. Most likely there will be many more details added but this will give you an idea what it will look like on one side.

Click on the image for a way better look. then click agai to make it full size. I do all my test renders at 1920 x 1080 so I can see what my stuff will look like up close.

P.P.S. please remember to write a review if you have time. Thanks.

I do like it.  The only thing I could wish for would be to see bulbs in the streetlamps.  Would make it simple to change the bulb to a meshlight for rendering in LuxRender.

I might do that but it will be a simple sphere as I am working very hard to keep the polygon counts as low as possible.
