Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
My first guess is that you have improperly configured installation.
Some clothing come with library folder containing the deltas. If you for some reason put this in "Program Files..." or some other location that windows wants to "protect" you from using, the folder will be blank and real data is somewhere else.
Maybe you tell us something about your OS and config?
Hmmm, I've had that experience as well. The "super-conforming" thing might answer some of that, but that sometimes isn't a solution.
Let's say the dress is a C-cup and your figure is a D. You're trying to get the mesh around the neckline a bit closer to the figure's skin. So, you dial the clothing breast -size management thingies but nothing happens (you're doing this for Body first - nothing happens - and then for Chest). So you select V4 and start twiddling her corresponding dials and the clothing follows her re-sizing, and you end up with ill-fitting clothing.
What to do?

Thanks for the help ....I a running on a Dell FPS 430, 64 Bit Quad Processor with Windows Vista. My system has a nasty habit of creating compatability files for everything I create, even within the program (Poser) itself...If I create a category of poses in the side window of Poser let's say, my computer files it under Poser Pro, Compatibility Files, Runtime, Library, Poses....so I have 2 runtime folders. I don't know if that is the problem. When I unzip content though, it seems to go into the correct files.
Then it sounds like UAC interfering with Poser installed to the Program Files Folder. It will only get messier if you continue adding content under this manner. The corrective action would be either disabling UAC (not really recommended unless you absolutely know your way around the computer) or permanently relocating Poser outside Program Files in it's own folder.
or you can do the following.
That usually copies the figure data to the clothes so they match. This works for most clothing. Some clothes lack certain morphs..
I use Morphing clothes from Dimension3d (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=64629) for when the clothes lack certain morphs that my figure has. Basically I just copy the figure morphs to the cloths and when I go copy paste in poser I get a perfect fit all the time regardless how customized my figure is.

This has been bothering me for awhile and I can't take it any more...I will download clothing, either purchased or found free and conform it to the corresponding model, only to find that most of or all of the FBMs do not work. I spin the dials and nothing happens. What's really annoying is that on some clothing, 1 or 2 dials will work and the rest don't. Not only does this happen on FBMs, I have had problems with dials on individual parts not work also. Any ideas?
