Subject: Any interest in 100 Super Hero Poses?

Elfwine ( ) posted Sun, 31 October 2010 at 3:13 AM · edited Sat, 09 November 2024 at 11:56 AM

There are no "mirrored" poses, these are 100 unique poses.

I tried to concentrate on making 100 action poses but Super Heros do have to discuss events from time to time, so there are a few conversation poses. And I think three knocked-out poses, some two-handed sword attack poses, three archery poses, and two captured poses.

Naturally, these will not be perfect for every figure as each mesh is different but they should get you close. I used Hiro3 as the model for the poses (Hiro 3 is available for free at daz3d.com).

The poses were saved with no body or head transformations so they won't mess up a custom character.

They will be free to use in personal & commercial renders. Free to redistribute. Free to modify to your heart's content.

But the question is, with the demise of Animotions, is there much interest in this?

Animotions is still around? I could have sworn that I read in a thread that they had gone the way of the Dodo. I tried registering there years ago but never got the confirmation email, so I contacted them about it, twice, and they never responded. So I was never able to joined up there. shrugs

I'll pack them up today and upload to ShareCG. Will update this thread when ready.

cheers!

Thanks, but do we that file to use the poses in Poser?

Yokasobi ( ) posted Sun, 31 October 2010 at 12:47 PM

Cool! Yes, I'm interested.

Elfwine ( ) posted Sun, 31 October 2010 at 1:01 PM

The poses are in Poser format  : )

I'm trying to zip them up using OSX's Terminal command and not having much luck at the moment. I've a new thread asking how to do this over at the Mac forum.

Back soon!

Those look terrific!  I'm going to grab them soon as I get home.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Folks, these poses were created using a Mil3 figure. You may use them on a Mil4 figure but it will require some moderate tweaking as there is an extra rotation on a Mil3's leg, and finger rotations will be weird too. But they are still useable if you need a pose right now.

I've just downloaded Michael 4 and it's gonna take me some time to plow through all 100 poses and make adjustments.

But I'm on it!  ; )

Just thought of this. If you need a pose right away on a Mil4 figure, try this:

If you have a Mil3 figure (mike3,vicky3,aiko3,hiro3), and you want to use a pose on a Mil4 figure...

Load a Mil3 figure and apply the pose, then load a Mil4 figure beside the Mil3 figure and apply the same pose.

You can immediately see exactly what needs to be corrected.

All 100 poses have been converted to M4. They should now work with all the Mil4 people and can be found here:

Smooooosh!
