Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 03 12:46 am)
I've used V4 dynamic dresses on Antonia. I just scaled the dress to a size that fit Antonia's zero position.

The Wisdom of bagginsbill:
"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."ah ok. I've done the whole scaling and magnets process. Was just wondering if a convertion was possible because then maybe I could convert some of my v4 dynamics for m4 or the other way around.
I do not know crossdresser but as I remember WW has option to convers prop.
Anyway I think it is easier to convert dynamic clothes with cloth room.
In first frame pose V4 to hide her under clothes. In 10th frame set her in default zero pose. When simulation is finished export prop as an obj from 10th frame. Late you can import and save as prop.

I don't bother converting dynamic clothes. I've used M3 cloth props on V4 and M4, and MANY V3 cloth props on V4. I've used Jessica cloth props on a fully morphed V4 without trouble, too! Just scale, drape in the cloth room and simulate. As long as the cloth props are well-made, they shouldn't have trouble simulating.
Now, about hiding body parts . . . My PPro 2010 won't simulate against hidden body parts. I don't know if that's a function of this particular version, or what, but I've tried that to avoid poke-through and it doesn't work.
@anapaum
the routine is to create the simulation first, and hide the body parts later, when you render the animation. Cloth Room will not collide cloth to an invisible whatever, and does so since P5. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
@V01f
Cloth sims run the best when the clothes fit reasonably, without poke through at the start and without "fladdering" around. Usually just handling the dials or a magnet does the job. Convertion (using WW, which is build into P8 anyway) might help when the figure is completely different (like: from V4 to WackyWorld Rhino). There is no reason to make it into a prop.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

how do you convert these? I have crossdresser but I don't think it does prop convertions.
