These are many worthful tips, okay, the term "Editor" scares me as it's the perfect tool to mess up everything (in my hands) but on the other hand I like to have a challenge. I think that I'll give it a try with shoes that have few to no morphs (in other words: no elegant versatile strap sandals for Antonia...).

Always edit a copy of a file, if there's any concern about messing things up. Or a copy of a copy of a file. Just be careful about naming, if you have too many copies. I've encountered problems with an edited file, then tried to backtrack and found that I'd mixed up the naming and overwritten the original with a bad file, once or twice.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

an editor is a simple tool, like a knife it's how you use it who make it useful or dangerous.
on windows for a simple fit pose the notepad is enough but i suggest the notepad++ : free, multi documents, lines number, don't use the wordpad is native format is rtf not plain text.
on mac i don't know, i have used a Mac a few month in 2002 and things have changed
Quote - Actually the Angel1 Freeie is different than the ANG2.

this make no difference for my fit, i have used the obj file and not the cr2 so i have 10 parameters only, 4 scale 3 rotate and 3 translate, if use the cr2 i have the same 10 parameters for each actor in the cr2, the fit is more complicated to do but more accurate
I sure wish I could get more free time, it's always something needs done here and now it's doctor's appointments for me...sigh.
And to make matters worse the temps are way up in the 90's while we only have a window AC here and it is so old and not working 2thirds of the time. Hard to tell who is getting sick from heat the most, Mom or me. I've been out so much money lately helping my daughter get out of STL and down here that a new unit is out of the question.
Now back on topic, I have started working on the torso section of my next texture set and find that doing in in silver is very hard...lol.
I do think I will leave it to others to do any gold sets...Roflol!
Let me introduce you to my multiple personalities. :)

Notepad++ is what we use here as well. It's easy to use and has many powerful (dangerous ) options. I even used it back then when it looked almost like the original Windows Editor.
@BlueEcho: Couldn't it be a solution to create a good silvery shader together with bumpmaps/displacement to give the desired "painted skin effect"? I have the silver-texture for V4 by DAZ and while it looks pretty cool under specific light it does not look convincing in most light situations as a body paint with silver (color/makeup/glimmer) should react on the light. Just a suggestion that may make your life easier.

It might be helpful to look at Bagginsbill's lamé shaders to get some pointers about this general class of material. Not that you want Antonia to look like a superhero or a lounge singer, which is what you might end up with if you apply those shaders directly. :) However I wonder what the effect would be blending these with a regular skin texture, perhaps through a mask so you could accentuate skin in places where the paint would be thinnest - round the eyes, nostrils, and ears for instance. Assuming you're going for a "Goldfinger" kind of thing.I have some ideas now. Looking forward to whatever you may come up with.
Rjjack, thanks a bunch for the dresses! They look great and I'm looking forward to using them.

you are welcome, i have another in work, floor length with some greek spirit, don't take care of the texture it's just the various materials zones, i need to fit some flat shoes to Antonia for the exact length, she don't want walk in high heel all the time
rjjack: I found that the various flat shoes Aery_soul made for V3 and V4 behave very good in WW2 (and they keep their bones that are needful for flat shoes with soft soles).

good, but they are gone from Renderosity i have only some hair from them maybe one or two outfits i need to check, V4 and V3 are no more installed in my runtimes
apparently they are AlfaSeed on RuntimeDNA now, same style different name
The Wiki itself is still alive:

About the AerySoul shoes: Too bad... I even have some for Posette and some other freebies for older figures. Maybe it's possible to ask if you have a specific pair on mind. You may look some up in my gallery, I made an image called "Attack", there I used the See-no-evil shoes for V3.

A lot of things have changed and a lot of goodies have gone as well...sigh.
My work on Antonia must, once again, be postponed. I have been in the hospital since Friday and just released todfay due to bad gallbladder attack. So they took that nasty thing out and I and doing much better but need a few days to rest my my hospital stay...lol.
I'll be back as soon as possible.

BE: This seems to be a pretty challenging years for us both with all those surgeries and other troubles. Get well soon! I've got my gall bladder out years agon and can tell you that no one needs this darn thing (as long as you can resist food with too much fat): Or as my doctor said: If a Haxn (roasted pork knuckle) floats in front of you you should resist it. In my case: Nothing is easier than this - my problem are milk-products (but that's what those medications against heartburn are made for).

Although I didn't find the term palops I can easily guess what you mean - please: Do not tell me details.... I have my own idea about the diet you get before a surgery. It's a chance to woo you with "As soon as you had your surgery you will get insert desired food here!" - I remember how they promised ice cream to my son - and how he asked for it a moment after he opened his eyes, just to hear that he has to wait for some more hours. As he was only 5 years old his patience was limited back then and the nurses had a hard time.

@rjjack: I've bought the Angela shoes and followed your advice closely - but unfortunatly the poses do not affect the imported shoes at all ( I loaded Anonia, imported the shoes with all options turned off, parented the shoes and used the fit-poses). But then I opened the pose in a text-editor and dialed all settings in by hand. Bad enough: The shoes still do not fit, they float above Antonia's feet.
Okay, I am tough LOL I imported some of idler's High Heels for V4 and tried my luck. Of course I expected no immediate success - but after two hours of trial and failure I did not even come close as the shoes simply will not fit the completely different shape of Antonia's foot. Either parts are sticking out or the shoe looks far too wide at the sidefoot. I am far from being good with these things but anyway: Now I think that I do something essential wrong. Would you mind to do some screenshots about the process (or simply tell me that V4 shoes won't fit because of the very different shape)?

I picked up Antonia as a freebee not knowing what to expect, and I have to say she's turned into one of my favorite figures. Well done to all those who worked on her and made all the nice free content.
I have to agree though, Antonia really needs some more shoes.
Just an observation, I found that turning the bend off on the shoes sometimes helps in fitting shoes made for one figure onto another figure to another. Shoes' do seem to be the one item that appears particuarly problematic.
UPDATE: I tried my luck with a pair of propped shoes for Miki (1) and these give better results as they have a different (a bit clumsy) shape.

Just things growing that shouldn't be. I'm sure I didn't spell them right anyway. I'm not a good patient either. I remember having my wisdom teeth cut out and being told I wouldn't be able to eat solid food for days. I went out afterwards and had a roast beef sandwich!
Today I went for the BBQ afterwards.
Above you see the Miki-shoes "in action". They are "only" props, so you can't bend them. But the fact that they cover the toes completely made it possible to turn the toes invisible and avoid any pokethrough (as, of course, there where some small of them).
The dress is the "Little Black Dress" by rjjack. I really like how it's mapped!!

Do you have applied the pose 'TPose with HH' to Antonia first ? i think you need this, for props you may need to apply the poses to Antonia once they are parented and the name of the props must be S08_L and S08_R, i check this once i am @ home, maybe i have missed some step in the process.
For the V4 shoes i am not surprised they have a different foot shape, the V4 foots are almost the same width on the ankle and toes regions, you need some magnets to enlarge the needed part.
You may have more luck with something for Aiko3, Victoria3 or Stephanie 3 they have a larger toes region, i have started the Strap Sandal for V3/S3/A3 from DAZ for test my theory http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=3042
I own Shoe Converter from PhilC, currently the program is not installed but i give a try this week-end to see if this programm can help Antonia .
Fitting shoes is not an easy task, foots are different on every figures, hairs are far easier since the head is a ball more or less round for all figures. One problem is the center point of the objet, when you Rotate or Scale you need to correct the Trans dials.

very nice picture, the dress was made with the Marvelous Designer 2, a program to make cloths like the ral one so mapping is flat like a real pattern
Ah... an answer! Thanks a lot - and please-please: I am not complaining, I just want to learn!! You may be right, I tried to fit the shoes in the zero-pose. Now, that I used your Little Black Dress I see that the T-Pose is needed to make it fit in the first frame. I will give it another try this evening, I think it's worth the effort (and bothering you with stupid questions) because using clothes cross-figure is always fun, good for those that are close on budget and, most of all, gives oldies-but-goldies another chance.
And: As you can see above I already had some success by following your advice. I was coward, I tried my luck with propped shoes. But I think the result looks good.
Shoe converter... I have it here as well but so far I had few luck when using it. So I am even more interested in informations if you have more success.

Many users have complained of the delaunay mesh output, because it is very difficult to modify it in a modeling program and not the best for conforming items, but for the cloth room in poser this is very great.
I have never get the folds like this with a quad mesh, on a futur update they will add the quad mesh option but i don't think to use it, i target the poser cloth room only.
Another problem is when you make something for two figure with a very different shape like V4 and Mavka, there not easy way to scale the patterns from one figure to another and the UV need to be reworked to match on the two outfits.
But like all tools once you know the limits you can find a workaround or avoid them.
Quote - Many users have complained of the delaunay mesh output,

The update with quad mashing was announed for May this year. They are silent since.
An issue I encountered when making clothing for Antonia (or any other popular Poser figure for that matter) with Marvelous Designer is that the base pose for clothing fitting is with the arms straight. pointing about 45 degrees down. (Take a real life shirt, lay it flat on the ground and look how the sleeves are directed.). So that is how the Antonia avatar needs to be posed for realistic results. Fitting clothing on an avatar in the usual 'arms horizontal' pose is possible of course, but you end up with too much cloth under the arm pits in normal poses. It you tailor the clothing to an avatar with the arms lowered and pose it to arms horizontal, you end up with folds on the shoulders (again like real clothing) but when you make this a conforming piece, the folds will stay (and grow!) when the arms are lowered.
Conclusion, quad meshing will not be a cure for all troubles. One step forward would be a 'MD-friendly' version of Antonia with arms lowered when in zero position.
Practical problem is that MD does not handle JCM's well. The Antonia avatar with lowered arms must be in .obj format.
Quote - Another problem is when you make something for two figure with a very different shape like V4 and Mavka, there not easy way to scale the patterns from one figure to another and the UV need to be reworked to match on the two outfits.
Just like real life clothing. Forget the scaling and morphing thing and keep to the cloth cutting analogon. If you cut a piece for a dress for Big Bertha from cloth that has, say, a two inch checkerboard pattern, it will have more squares on it than the same piece for a dress for Thin Lizzy. Some content cretors seem to think that Thin Lizzy's prefers 1" x 2" rectangles. She likes of course the 2x2" squares, but half as many as there are on Big Bertha's dress.

That's worth to be used as a signature!
Indeed I have my eye on this program for dynamic clothes only as I prefer them (in most cases) over conformers. More natural, more versatile - and don't let me get started about conforming skirts...
bagoas, I agree about the one-dress-fits-all thing, usually you will have to make compromises. As for the pose that is needed to fit your creation: I think it comes with Antonia, it's the "T-Pose". If it's not included anymore I am sure it is okay to share it with everyone interested in it. *

Quote - As promised I tried my luck with shoe-fitting again. This time I used the T-pose (and yes, I found that I overlooked it...). But still the shoes do not react on the fit-poses, I even tried saving them out as parented props first - still no luck. Maybe my fault was to buy the shoes for Angela2?
the objets for angela are named S08_L.obj and S08_R.obj maybe the shoes for angela2 have a different name ? look in the hierarchy editor to see if you have the S08_L and S08_R props parented to the left and right foots of Antonia, if the name is different the pose won't apply

All I had to do is editing the object's names in the prop and adjusting the fit a very little bit (these shoes load in a slightly higher position). So in fact it was a tiny but bright point-light guiding me to the success...

if you change the
prop WHATEVER
line in the pz2 to
actor $CURRENT
you'll be able to apply the poses to whatever prop is currently selected in your poser window. make sure there's a figure somewhere in the scene or this won't work. i do this all the time for jewelry, shoes, prop hair, etc. remember when saving the new poses to label them L or R so you'll know to use them on the correct side.

Sorry if I were not clear here. The issue is that for conforming clothing one needs a fit at the zero pose of the conformee, and for dynamic clothing you would like it, so you can use the 'drape from zero pose'. Real clothing in general is cut with arms in a 45 degrees pose. Of course it is not a problem to put Antonia in a T-pose, but using an avatar in T-pose in MD does not give good clothing. Seams at the shoulder will look odd in normal poses, and there will be too much fabric under the arm pit.
I am working on a solution featuring a master dial 'MDAvatar', in Antonia's body actor, with input value 1.0 causing the figure to be in MD fitting pose whilst the rotation channels are zero. This would provide a solution for dynamic clothing. For conforming clothing, a similar master (but working the opposite way, posing the conformer into Antonia's zero) could be used to create a standard conformer. The input range of the JCM's would need to be shifted, of course.
