Subject: Material texture extraction

is there a way to extract a texture from a material so that I can create a bump map from it? In order to create more hd space i would import a material in bryce and then delete the material outside in explorer and it would be saved in a texture list--but now i have no alpha channel and it won't let me edit it anywhere. any ideas? Good question. I'm not to skilled with the DTE yet but the best bet now would be a screen capture. There's probably a better way to do it though.

Unless I am misunderstanding you... You can import a material/texture, create your bryce version of it, mapped to a ball or whatever and save it back into the texture library as a preset, that way , yes, you can delet it as a separate entity on your HD
