Subject: Help With Poser Docutment Window Size

shorterbus ( ) posted Thu, 15 September 2011 at 3:33 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 7:29 PM

Poser 8, Windows 7.

Somehow I managed to change the size of my docked document window and now it runs of the right edge of the monitor and I can't change it back. I can undock it, adjust the size, but then when I dock it goes off the screen again. Help me, Obiwan!

you just need to check "floating" on document window.  that way it won't dock and will stay the size you set it for

Vilters, thanks for the suggestion, it makes sense, and it was one of the fifty or so things I tried before coming to the forums. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

May if I approach the question from a different angle - how do I set the size of a docked window?

After you remove the file:

c:/users/millighost/Application Data/Poser/8.0/English/Poser UI Prefs_1280x1024.xml

(username and screensize can vary) the settings are reset after a restart of poser. If you feel experimental, you can also poke around in that file, the window geometries are somewhere in it.

Look for the icon (which looks like a barber pole, or maybe it's a piece of braided rope, or a screw jack) along the border of the window.  Click on it and drag it leftward.

Poser 12, in feet.
