Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Nothing to it, been doing much the same for years. These things can also be hooked up to dp and get dialed in automatically if desired, (just erc) But I like using helper bones to do many of these things instead of morphs. With P9 and Pro 2012, the helper bones can use weight maps and bulge maps. Hooking those up to DP in any manner desired.
Helper bones is old news of course and used in most 3D apps to acheive different effects.
What is new for Poser is the ability to use weight maps with them and choose from 3 different types of weight mapping. Bulge maps are also a huge improvement.
So yes Poser can easily do that. I have been using other methods befor weight mapping to do much the same.
Cool:) Just thought that weightmaps might complicate things a bit. How would clothes react to this type of thing? Speaking conforming not dynamic ofcourse.
Transfer the map to the clothing no problem.
Here is something interesting, go vote. :)
So just to be clear you can transfer multiple weightmaps? Or do they have to be swapped out?

I myself just started using Genesis. I said to myself "screw this whole Poser vs Daz debate", I am going to use both Programs. Both have features I like. You can hate Daz or like them, but this is impressive. Whats nice is that you can set it to auto-dial flex or do it manually. Now can this type of weightmap morphs be done on a weight-mapped figure in poser92012pro? I am seeing some nice progress happening in the weightmap department. But can this type of WM morph overlay be done? I know on Genesis you can just dial it off (which still leaves you with a weightmap base), but how would this work on a non-genesis figure? Will you have to swap out weightmap settings or can you load various ones via morphs? Any info will be appreciated.
