Hi everyone,

To my surprise, I see very nice pictures here. I didn't get the e bots, but love them all. :)
Here is my last contribution, wishing you all a lovely weekend.
God bless, Mies.

Oh, you gave the answer before I had a chance Helanker. ;-)  Macro is my "thing" and I guessed a grape seed.

Here's "my world in a rain-drop" certainly a sense of scale.

dochtersions ( ) posted Sun, 23 October 2011 at 1:29 AM

Your drop is fabulous, Leonie!

kgb224 ( ) posted Sun, 23 October 2011 at 2:24 AM

Certainly a sense of scale Loney.

Love the water drop.

I asked Rob (debbielove) to give a door in Stamford a sense of scale for me.  He obliged!

My last one in the challenge.

Have a great week, all you creative people!

I apologize if I insert a fourth photo, but I could not help but to show you the difference between two aubergines! The smallest is grown (a bit, actually) in the garden of my sister, but the sudden cold and rain have shrunken it!  :-)

dochtersions ( ) posted Fri, 28 October 2011 at 3:02 PM

A most beautiful capture, and great for this challenge, Maria.

Also funny to see this :).

emmecielle ( ) posted Fri, 28 October 2011 at 3:08 PM

Thank you, Mies! I did not able to resist to the temptation to insert this picture! ;-)

I don't usually color on my pictures, but I REALLY want you to have a sense of the scale here!  Not only of the rocks, but of the prairie.  If you've never been in the American Midwest, you just can't imagine how vast it is.  Visualize yourself in this environment, and turn around and around.  The entire place is as flat as what you see here, minus the rocks, and you can see absolutely forever!   I know it's tough to see in such a small format, so I've brightened the places where Bill and the car are in the picture, and clearly labeled them!  LOL!

What a huge area, Tara!
There you really see how small we humans are. As insignificant in a sense.
Thanks for sharing, it's an amazing photo.

helanker ( ) posted Sun, 30 October 2011 at 11:52 AM

Yeah, that is indeed HUGE, Tara. One gets humble looking at it.

cfulton ( ) posted Sun, 30 October 2011 at 1:51 PM

That definately gives a sense of scale, as you say, for the vastness of the prairie too!

Here's another one ... Bridal Veil Valls in Utah.  603 feet from top to bottom.  Notice the people on the bridge at the bottom.  :)

Here's the last one.  I was thinking about you all while we were on our trip, and took this one specifically for this forum thread!  :)  This is Picture Gorge, Oregon, in the John Day Fossil Beds.

Look for the red car for a sense of scale.

Sorry I haven't been around ... but Forum threads weren't high on my list while we were driving around the country!  We did 5300 miles, and I haven't figured out yet how many photos I took.  I've been through this thread now that we're back, and thoroughly enjoyed it!  :)
