Hi, Futile_Fantasy,
I'm going to move this to the Poser forum, where it'll get more eyes on it!

Did you discuss your supposed deficiency with the vendor?
That should be done before calling out his products in a public forum.
I do not use A4 very often, but after reading this post, I took opportunity to use "Summer Breeze" by Pretty3d on A4.
It is promoted as being usable with A4 and I noticed nothing untoward in the fit.
A4 is a derivative figure of V4 and as such has available many of same techniques to fit clothes, such as "magnetize" (from V4 pose set) and "include scales when conforming" (in property panel).
Try loading the V4 figure with the required morphs injected.
Load and conform the clothing.
Go the to V4 pose folder and find the magnetizing poses. Magnetize the clothing.
Then apply the A4 morphs and fits if there are separate fit morphs for the clothing.
V4's mesh has a ton of magnets attached and they are supposed to help with fits.
Do you have the use scale box checked? This helps as well.
I don't like using magnets. I have an A4 saved in poser which I use in Morcloth. Once the clothing item has Aiko4 injected via MorCloth, I can load the clothing item, select everything from the hip downwards, set the Aikobody morph to 0 then use the Aiko4 morph from MorCloth instead and it fits. It's a lot of work and very much a nuisance but it's the perfect solution.
Medzinatar, thanks for the comment. To see what I mean, set the dress opacity to 50%. Put it on V4 and you'll see it hugs the body. Then put it on A4 and you'll see it nowhere near hugs the body.
Incidentally, I didn't mean to single out pretty3D. It's rougly 80% of all items for A4 that have the same problem. That's no exaggeration. It's become a real problem and is the reason I rarely, if ever, bother with 3D anymore. I can't use the figure I want without a great deal of hassle so I rarely use it at all. And I'm not the only one.
You know, come to think of it... thanks for the tips and suggestions etc but nobody has said the thing that needs to be said. This is a real problem for those who prefer Aiko and something needs to be done about it. Is it wrong to expect clothing that claims to fit A4 to do exactly that? I don't think it is.
I really don't want to hear suggestion how to remedy it, I can do that already. I'd like to hear what vendors intend to do about it. This is mis-selling and shouldn't simply be tolerated because nobody wants to rock the boat. If we don't point out the problem to the vendors, how will they know? What can be done, other than this to bring the problem to their attention. Any ideas?
It sounds to me like either the conformer just doesn't work correctly, or there is something wrong with your A4 install. If you want, you could check any of the various freebies in my signature, they all support V4/A4. How about a swimsuit:

If this item has fitting problems, then probably the problem is your installation or something else local to you, it's been tested extensively and nobody has ever reported a problem.
I just load up stock V4 and A4, use same pose and texture and dress them same. I see no substantial difference in fit with this particular outfit. I do not have means or desire to test them all.
I do hope you find a satisfactory answer to the problem that is subject of this thread
Try manually tweaking the settings if you can. That can help sometimes.
Something to remember is that a tight fit, that works with multiple morphs, with a different mesh, and bends well (enough) is something that takes patients and time. At least when you are just starting out. Everyone probably doesn't want to put in that initial effort into learning to do it well, and the extra effort to keep doing it well.

Dynamic items are an option for some designs. They little harder to learn to use well, especially if you don't know how to do the zones and settings. More complex designs... dunno.

I couldn't find the right forum to post this in and this was about the nearest.
I'm curious about the whole V4/A4 thing. Vendors such as pretty 3D claim their products are compatible with both V4 and A4 yet when you apply one to A4 and use the built in A4 morphs, the outfit merely changes shape to A4. It doesn't fit her though. Dresses and underwear float and whole inch away from her body. Tights and such don't even go close to touching her legs.
This can be remedied using the MorCloth utility which is a pain. That's not the point though. Can Renderosity say something to the vendors because claiming to make things compatible with A4 when they don't actually fit her is mis-selling, surely and I'm kinda sick of being mislead .
Thank you.
