Shucks....I only have P7 so far. If and when I get P9 I'll definitely use Nerd's INJ. I am just a bit perplexed by the fact that certain figures seem to have exaggerated distortions compared to the original V4....was hoping to compensate for the discrepancy, even if it meant bringing me back to V4's original anomalies...
It looks like the figure has incredibly muscular limbs. Chances are the muscle morphs weren't optimized for the joint setup.

It's nice to see "Perfect Fixes" getting a shout-out. :) Thanks! However be warned that I cannot guarantee they will work for you on a heavily morphed figure such at this. Results vary with extreme full body morphs. Typically they will improve it, but not as well as seen in the promo images.
(We don't have a knee fix yet, but it's on the agenda)
Thanks, Xameva. I actually do have the Booty fix and it did make an improvement. I am just a bit perplexed by the fact that if I take V4 and add muscle morphs there is some distortion, but not as extreme with some of these pre-made V4-based figures...if there something intrinsic about the way some of the figures are made that causes serious joint issues.
Quote - Okies...thanks:) Do you have any idea what causes these incresed distortions on certain V4 models?
The original models were incredibly poorly rigged. Any morph/whatever is going to amplify that fact. I'm not being mean: just stating what's obvious. Rigging is a really exacting science. And if you're dealing with a less-than-optimal mesh to start with, that task grows exponentially.

Quote - Daz COULD have fixed V4's joint problems, as evidenced by the fact that others have done so with aftermarket products. I just don't know why they didn't.
Skill? Or lack thereof?
Seriously, V4 doesn't move like a human. She's not built like a human. And people are astonished when she bends weird. Why? She is SO not meant to be a human!
How do Barbie dolls bend?

Fair question.
Fair answer: poor mesh design. Poor rigging because the mesh design is bad.

Your Perfect Fixes are awesome.
While I'm a happy user of weightmapped figures like Antonia and Anastasia, the Perfect Fixes have made Stephanie 4 a serious rival to them. Kudos to you.

Will this fix your problem? Not all of it but you can make a difference with some of what you're seeing.

Short answer - Genesis needs weight maps to work, so it works only in Poser 9/Pro 2012. It needs to be exported from DAZ Studio, there is no Poser installer IMO. Not all features work with Poser. So it's not that successfull in the Poser Community at the moment.
And yes, I would prefer that this thread does not turn in another Genesis discussion.

Hi everybody,
I was excited to get a new figure (I won't name names), but then I saw a problem that I had with another couple of figures I had gotten in the past. I know V4's joints are not the greatest, especially around the thighs joining the torso, and shins when bent in certain positions. But this seems to be an even more pronounced issue. I know there are a couple of joint fixers here--like that "Perfect Butt" and "Thighs", which I haven't tried yet. What do you recommend as far as a way to resolve these issues. Please look at the pics.
Thanks!
