Hello.. How's it going?Well,here's the deal.I have seen alot of smoother looking shadow renders...I am new to actually trying to build a enviorment to place a figure in and render in Poser... Take a look at the image.Help me out..I need it.sorta a newbie beyond texturing things... Thanx alot, Binx

select the single lights and on the right side you get some dials where you can setup the resolution of the shadowmap and the amount of shadow for every single light. try higher resolution ( 1024 x 1024) and less shadow

I usually put shadow on just one light. Try putting off the shadow on the other light(s) you're using. And as Pervers says increase the shadowmap resolution. The higher the resolution the more detailed your shadow becomes. Finally to make the shadow smoother turn down the shadow dial. I usually end up between 0.5 and 0.8 depending on the picture. You will have to experiment with this. Happy rendering

do both of those, (increase shadow map size & reduce density) but more importantly, to feather the edges of the offending shadow, zoom out the light's "Shadow Cam". You will get fewer pixels in the area of the shadow and therefore more antiailasing & a more diffuse shadow. (Shadow Cams are selected in the list of cameras on the button at the bottom of the display window.)
