Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 05 9:36 pm)
I seem to remember some squabbling when V4 was first released. Many textures simply have the eyebrows painted on to the skin_face material.
On my V4.2 the eyebrow part is not visible and does not show up in raytracing.
It seems to be available to texture creators where changeable hair colors are desirable, or maybe different eyebrow styles.
its extra geometry with a matching material.
You may have to dial in a morph to get the "brow" to be out side the base mesh of the figure
And 3/4 of the "features" in Victoria 4 are not documented in the Poser manual so it isn't going to help. You need the readme's from the V4 product(s) to have a chance
A word is not the same with one writer as with another. One tears it from his guts. The other pulls it out of his overcoat pocket

So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?
Quote - I dont know anyone actually using the eyebrow geometry to do textures.
The textures shipping with V4 Weight Mapped use it. It threw me a little because we don't see it very often, but I worked it out eventually. :D
Actually, more texture creators should use the eyebrow geometry for eyebrow textures - it keeps hair off the skin, and makes it far easier to set skin shaders up (hair and skin have different properties).
With eyebrows painted on the skin (as most textures) we have to use BB's compenent value method to separate the hair from the skin so we can get the specularity right.

Any idea why V4's eyebrows do not render? I can see them there in the preview window, but in the render results they are gone.
This is my fourth question in something not much more than a week. I do not take your help lightly, I pour over the manual before I ask. I do really appreciate this help. I am sure I would have thrown my hands up in disgust and walked away long ago without you.
