Probably because the limits of 0 and 1 are the ones that 98 percent of the folks use.
I've never brought shadow values below below 0 which could bring very interesting results. BB had an explanation of the results, but I forgot. Hmmm going to give it a try and see what happens....Jan
negative shadow gives you flashlight (electric torch) glow.

I've been trying to find info on this, and can't locate anything.
What drives the ability to change the shadow strength under a light parameter? This is for an infinite light. It seems like sometimes I can change it, and sometimes it's locked at 1.000, and no matter what I change under Properties, it can't be increased. Then other times it changes. I can't figure out the "rhyme or reason" to this. Does anyone know what the "rules" are for this? It doesn't seem to matter if I'm using Ray Trace or Depth map, though for the most part, I'm using Ray Trace shadows. Also, changing the blur radius doesn't seem to impact the ability.
I'm on Poser9 on Windows.
Any info is appreciated.
