The M4 genitals figure willl be seperately rerigged and weight-mapped specifically to work with M4~WM. The rigging on that item needs reworking even more than M4. **REMEMBER**, the M4 genitals figure is part of the Morphs++ package, which is now $29.95 at DAZ3D. Like the M4 base figure, it must be installed in your runtime before it can have rig and weight-maps transfered. It is not free like the M4 base figure is. The work done by Diogenes and Poser Place does not contain any of the information from the original figures, and will not work unless one has those items. It will also only work in Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012 (which is a really good reason to buy or upgrade to one of these versions).

Hi guys, is PoserPlace temporarily down?  Tried to log on yesterday evening, link broken.  Tried quickly at work this morning, got connected.  Tried again this evening from home, link broken.  Any news anyone can share?

As far as I know, Mike has been working on the server.  It's been down a few times over the last 24 hours, was up for a bit awhile ago, but seems to be down again now.

Thanks for the update.  I briefly checked last night and saw that some recent posts have completely disappeared.  Hopefully Mike will solve everything soon.

Cage ( ) posted Wed, 21 March 2012 at 10:58 AM

I think the site should be back up now.  To solve the problems, Mike had to restore the site from a backup, causing five days or so of posts to be lost.   Other than that, everything should be fine.

I don't have a problem with using V4 poses with V4WM. The only difference is the twist/side-side of the neck and head are different. But that is very easy to fix.

Which specific poses of Adam give the problem?

It is not perfect (needs a little twist and forward on the shoulder), but not too bad.

If you go to extreme bends and twists you need to do some adjustments, but nothing like the problem you are having

You are sure IK is off?

mysticeagle ( ) posted Mon, 26 March 2012 at 7:34 AM

yep i use a saved version of v4 with ik off and figure zeroed....i seem to have solved  the problem, for some reason the 1 Victoria 4 Weight Map.pz2 that the hot loader looks for had vanished, so i backtracked and used the weight mapping python from a clean v4 ran the script and deleted the original v4 once the wm version appeared....i might have to re dl and reinstall once poserplace is back up

I think it's ironic to note that independant developers can solve an issue that a certain company(s) is not or willing to trying and solve.

I am not committing to saying this is towards one company nor is it meant towards more than one company, just a simple statement of fact that the private market is solving an issue that is wanted by demand.

hooray for quality developers and the tools within said programs that allow us to do this!

I second that darkedge, I think they just wanted to go in amnother direction with thier own product and no longer support poser, they have no obligation to support it and they do have thier own product to promote.

Eric Walters ( ) posted Sat, 16 June 2012 at 2:33 PM

Tucan-Tiki Yep! And several of us helped test it until most of the bugs were worked out. Mike (Phantom3D) started work on M4-WM- I got involved with other things and have not been part of that project-so I don't know the status. " I second that darkedge, I think they just wanted to go in amnother direction with thier own product and no longer support poser, they have no obligation to support it and they do have thier own product to promote." True! Although they did allow the team to create V4-WM.

Looks like your website is down, so I will try asking for help here.

I have converted Arrins Silk Ribbons Sandals to V4WM (no toes -- body part nor geometry).  When I pose V4's feet and conform the sandals, everything is OK.  However, the picture shows what I get when I scale the feet to FeetSize = -.05.  How can I fix this?

estherau ( ) posted Tue, 19 June 2012 at 1:45 AM

Have you got the box checked in properties for the body of the shoe (in the parameters dials just to the right) where you can check conform to scale?

Thanks estherau!!

Yes, I have both "Include scales..." and "Include morphs..." checked.  Unchecking them and manually scaling the feet/toes does not solve the problem.

There is a scaling problem with shoes/stockings sans toe geometry, converted to V4WM.  These pics show problems with Hongyu's stockings.

1 -- Converted, no scaling.

2 -- Converted, scale 95% (FeetSize = -.05)

Looks to me like scaling is not set up on the clothes. There are a few ways of dealing with it by modifying the shin/foot/toe scaling and joint info on the problem actor to fix it.

Or you can do the foot scaling with a magnet and add whatever needs scaled to the magnet, which is a much easier way to do it if you are not familiar with the joint palette and scaling.

Solved my scaling problem by creating a scale FeetSize 90% morph in V4WM.  I use Morphing Clothes to copy the moprh to shoes that don't scale proplerly.

V3WM would be nice.

Well, you can weightmap V3 using PhilC's script; it's the additional rerigging that would get her to bending correctly.

I believe all the V4 files MUST go into the original P9 folder, because the script that needs to be run is a python script, and that needs to be located in the original runtime.
